A video has surfaced of a Leominster man “out of control” on a United Airlines flight from L.A. to Boston. According to fellow passengers, the 33 year-old man started rambling saying his father was Dracula and that he was going to kill people on the flight. The man tried to open an emergency exit door and stabbed a flight attendant with a jagged spoon. With today’s airport security how did this happen? If you were a fellow passenger on this flight, would you have intervened?

Two Newton Police officers were assaulted while responding to a domestic violence call. An “assaultive, out of control” suspect began fighting the officers when they went to make an arrest. The Newton PD claims the suspect punched both officers in the back of the head and forcefully grabbed for their service weapons. Dan discussed the Newton incident and in general the dangers of tackling crime in our communities.

MA Rep. F Jay Barrows has co-signed a bill here in the Commonwealth that aims to add additional mandated reporters for the purpose of the protection and care of children. These paid or unpaid workers that oversee the care or treatment of children, are required by law to report any signs of abuse. Rep. Barrows and Pastor Bill Dudley joined Dan to discuss new legislation.

Sen. Marco Rubio has reintroduced legislation that aims to make Daylight Saving Time permanent across the country. Previously the Sunshine Protection Act was unanimously passed by the Senate last year but got stalled in the House and expired. What do you think, should we make Daylight Saving Time permanent?

Should we ditch the tolls on the Massachusetts Turnpike? The MA Pike was built back in 1952, financed with bonds and paid off with tolls over the course of 30 years. The toll booths themselves are gone but the tolls are not. There was a promise to make the Pike a toll-free road so why does the toll still exist?

Alex Murdaugh is on trial for the double murder of his wife and son, who were found fatally shot in June of 2021. The South Carolina attorney has suffered from mounting financial struggles and drug addiction, which was been a point of contention in the case. Dan broke down the case and heard listeners' reaction to it.
