I am in Crete in Greece at the moment. Yesterday I went to town. I checked out the souvenir shop. I bought a coaster. It is a cute coaster with an illustration of goats🐐🐐🐐

I am staying in an Airbnb flat in Crete. The flat is old, there is no supermarket nearby and the air con is out of order. But it is quiet and you can see the sea from the room. And you can walk to a small mountain from the flat. I am glad I stayed in this flat because there are a lot of goats on the mountain and I loved watching them. The coaster as a souvenir of the trip is perfect for my memories of Crete.

There is one more souvenir. I actually bought it at the airport in the UK before I flew to Crete. A perfume. This may be a common thing about travelling abroad, my head gets excited before I get on the plane. It turned out I bought the perfume in a shiny duty-free shop! It was expensive, but I don't regret it because I think it will improve my quality of life after the trip.

８月になりました。仕事を少し休みます。夏休みです。夏休みにギリシャの海に行きます。旅行の準備をしています。

海に旅行に行く時は水着と水中めがねを持って行きます。シュノーケリングが好きなので、大きいゴーグルも持って行きます。うちの近くのアウトドアショップで買いました。

去年の夏休みに旅行をした時、サングラスを家に忘れて悔しかったです。うちに３つもあるのに、新しいのを買わなければなりませんでした。今年は忘れないように、気をつけます。それと、７月にイタリアに行った友達が日傘を持って行ったほうがいいと言っていました。私は日本以外で日傘を見たことが　ありませんが、一応、スーツケースに折り畳み傘を入れました。

最近、ギリシャやイタリアで山火事がありました。旅行の準備をしながらニュースを見たり、旅行保険を確認したりしています。私たちが行く場所は今のところ影響はないそうですが、世界の環境問題と災害は深刻です。安全を祈りながら行ってきます。

It is August now. I will take a short break from work. Summer holiday. I will go to the Greek beach for my summer holiday. I am preparing for the trip.

When I go on a trip to the sea, I take my swimming costume and swimming goggles. I like snorkelling, so I also take a big pair of goggles. I bought them at an outdoor shop near my house.

When I went on holiday last summer, I forgot my sunglasses at home, which was annoying. Even though I had three pairs at home, I had to buy new ones. This year I will be careful not to forget them. Also, my friend who went to Italy in July said I should take a sunshade umbrella with me. I have never seen parasols other than in Japan, but I put a folding umbrella in my suitcase just in case.

Recently, there have been wildfires in Greece and Italy. I am watching the news and checking my travel insurance while preparing for the trip. The place we are going to is not affected so far, but environmental problems and natural disasters around the world are serious. I will be going with my wishes for safety.

I saw a friend on the Friday before the last week. The weather was rainy. I went to IKEA with my friend. I bought a towel and an entrance mat. Then we had lunch at IKEA.

My friend has a little baby. On a sunny day, we can go to the park together with the pushchair. But on that day it was rainy and cold, so we didn't go to the park. There is a big IKEA in the middle of my house and my friend's house. We went for a walk in IKEA. It's spacious and convenient for shopping. There was an interior like Barbie's room.

先々週の金曜日、友達に会いました。天気は雨でした。　友達とIKEAに行きました。私はタオルと玄関マットを買いました。それから、IKEAで昼ごはんを食べました。

私の友達は小さい赤ちゃんがいます。天気がいい日にはベビーカーで一緒に公園に行くことができます。でも、この日は雨で、寒かったから、公園に行きませんでした。私のうちと　友達のうちの真ん中に大きいIKEAがあります。私たちはIKEAの中で散歩しました。広いし、買い物もできて、便利です。バービーの部屋みたいなインテリアがありました。

昼ご飯は新メニューのカレーがおいしそうだったので、ミートボールじゃなくて、カレーにしました。IKEAのカフェのスタッフはみんな、おそろいの黄色いTシャツを着ています。いつも同じ年輩の店員さんがレジにいて、お客さんに冗談を言っています。明るいおじいさんです。私は昼ご飯の後、食べ物の売り場に寄って、ミートボールを買って帰りました。

 スタジオジブリが新しい映画を作りました。7月14日の金曜日から日本の映画館でロードショーをしています。

私はイギリスに住んでいますから、ジブリの新しい映画を　　見に行くことができません。そして、この映画は今までのジブリ映画と違います。宣伝をしない映画です。例えば、映画の予告編がありません。予告編を作ってないから、YouTubeにも映像がありません。映画の名前とポスターしか、わかりません。

でも、1つだけ、大きな情報がわかりました。テーマソングです。米津玄師というミュージシャンが作りました。米津玄師の歌は、もう、Spotifyなどで聞くことができます。

米津玄師の新曲「地球儀」を聞いてみました。曲も歌詞も　きれいで、切なくて、1回聞くと、もう1回聞きたくなる曲です。最初にバグパイプの音が聞こえるところが好きです。私は晩　ご飯を作る時に4回続けて聞いてしまいました。それから、無限リピートのボタンを押して、料理をしながら何回も聞きました。

I listened to Yonezu Kenshi's new song 'Spinning Globe'. The song and lyrics are beautiful and touching, and when you listen to it once, you'll want to listen to it again. I like the part where you hear the bagpipes at the beginning. I happened to listen to it four times when I was cooking dinner. Then I pressed the infinite repeat button and listened to it many times while cooking.

ラーメンが好きですか。私は土曜日に町に行きました。ロンドンのラーメン屋で晩ご飯を食べました。

ロンドンに「てんまる」というラーメン屋があります。「てんまる」は新しい店です。おもしろいラーメンがあります。レモンラーメンです。友達がおいしかったと言っていたので、私も食べたいと思っていました。

「てんまる」に着いた時、私たちの前に2人お客さんがいました。人気のお店だから、混んでいました。少し待って、お店に　入りました。レモンラーメンを注文しました。おいしかったです。

ロンドンのラーメン屋はとんこつラーメンが多いです。とんこつは、脂が多くて、コッテリしているので私には少し重いです。レモンラーメンはちょっと酸っぱくて、さっぱりしていました。「てんまる」にはラーメンの他にも、いろいろな食べ物があります。私たちはチヂミを注文しましたが、さくさくでおいしかったです。隣の人は唐揚げを食べていました。唐揚げもおいしそうでした。

When we arrived at Tenmaru, there were two customers in front of us. It's a popular restaurant, so it was crowded. After a short wait, we entered the restaurant. I ordered lemon ramen. It was delicious.

Most ramen shops in London serve tonkotsu ramen. Tonkotsu ramen is a bit heavy for me because it has a lot of fat and is very rich. Lemon ramen is a bit sour and refreshing. In addition to ramen, Tenmaru also serves a variety of other food. We ordered Korean pancakes, which were crispy and tasty. The person next to us was eating Karaage, deep-fried chicken. That Karaage also looked delicious.
