I'm always so sad when families split up in anger or bitter sadness. Their kids have grown up and are my friends and tell me awful things they had to carry as children because their parents weren't able to recognize the most important thing.

Not saying that I have the perfect solution, or the perfect family (LOL is there such a thing?) but some thoughts from experience.
