Nintendo Nostalgia

Well welcome back everyone! This week we are so excited to talk about the Nintendo 64! This is Jacobs personal fav system! We honestly could have kept going on and on! But before we get into the topic for the week Ryan and Jacob welcome first time guests Caro and Clay. Everyone talks about what their really into at the moment then we have a little talk about what makes a game a 10 out of 10! Looking at Mario Odyssey and deciding is it a 10/10 or does it not quite truly deserve that rating? The main topic the Nintendo 64 has so much to offer us! We talk about what the system did for gaming and of course our most favorite memorable games for the system. We hope you all enjoy this one as much as we did! ENJOY!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Today officially marks our 1 year anniversary as a show! Which means this is the first episode for Season 2 of Nintendo Nostalgia! We are so thrilled to be here and we cannot wait to get into even more nostalgia and fun ideas with all of our listeners. Thank you all for your support! Keep spreading the word of the community so we can continue to grow and be better for everyone! In this weeks episode we take a look back on the past year for the show and thank a lot of people for their help in getting the show where it is today. Then we get right into the final spooky game of the month! That is Luigi's Mansion, this game is a very unique game in the Nintendo library for it was a launch game for the Nintendo GameCube and it didn't star Mario. It stared Luigi! Luigi had never had a game to himself like this before, and to top things off the one who needs saving is Mario himself! Join us as we talk about the scaredy cat Luigi and his adventure in taking down lots and lots of ghosts! Let's have a great year 2, and again Happy Halloween! See yah next week on our normal Thursday!

BOO! We're back again with another scary ep. just for you! This week we talk about Some fun stuff we've been playing and then quickly get into the our topic for the week. Super Ghouls N Ghosts is a freakin hard game! I'm sure you know this if you have nostalgia for it, but We dive into the complexity of this game and why to many it truly is a classic and belongs on the SNES Classic like it is! We'll see you this coming Saturday night when we record LIVE for the first time for ou 1 year anniversery!

Hey hey! Welcome back again to another week of Nintendo Nostalgia! This week we welcome first time guest Jared Wagner! We try something a little different for this show and talk about some stuff we're into on a range of anything. We talk about what we've been playing of course then get into our personal scariest Metroid game of them all, Metroid Fusion. Metroid Fusion for Ryan and Jacob is mixed well with the cold wintery months of the years. We played it during the winter months back in winter of 2002 and the start of the new year 2003, and just like those cold days and nights the game Metroid Fusion is just that, cold scary and alone. The game really does a fantastic job of putting Samus in isolation in a dark space station where everyone is dead and you're being hunted. That is why this game wins a spot on our spooky month theme. Enjoy!

AH! >:D Welcome back to another scary week of Nintendo Nostalgia! This week Jacob, Ryan and our returning NOS crew member Robbie talk quickly about what they have been playing and then run scared straight into the topic for the week, Resident Evil 4! This game was one that not only is terrifying, but it was strictly for Nintendo Gamecube at one point in time. Very shocking for a franchise such as Resident Evil to be exclusive to Nintendo, but also that it became known as one of the best if not the best game in the Resident Evil franchise! We of course talk about the horror in the game, the game itself and what we hated in terms of being scared from the game. Hope you are scared just as much as we are! See you next week!

MWAHAHAHA! >:D Welcome back to another week of Nintendo Nostalgia! This week Jacob is sick with the flu. So to make things a little shorter Ryan and Jacob talk only about what they have been playing and then get straight into the topic for the week. To kick off the month of October we will be themed around spookier settings from Nintendo games, and to start the month off it is all about our personal most terrifying moments from the Metroid series. Did our moments share any of your nostalgic scary Metroid memories? Hope you enjoy the episode! We'll see you next week!

Everyone welcome back to another week of Nintendo Nostalgia! This week we keep the news shorter for you only talking about our thoughts on the larger shipments coming in for the SNES Classic and how the new Metroid is doing so far. We talk a little about what we have been playing then get right into the topic of the week! This week folks we are live round tabling this bad boy with having 5 of us together in the same room to talk about Super Smash Bros. Melee! We welcome back our returning guests Roby, and for the 2nd week in a row Traven, and FINALLY WE HAVE LONG TIME COMING GUEST BRAD HUNTZINGER! We talk everything from competitive Smash, to the characters, to what makes Melee the best Smash of them all an why this game is still timeless to this day. Oh of course our personal nostalgic memories as well! We hope you enjoy this one it's long but real special to us! We'll see yah next week!

HEY! Welcome back to another episode of Nintendo Nostalgia! We are honored by having our first time guest Tony Baker on, and returning "The Legendary God of Gaming" Traven Jonas!!!!!! We hop on Yoshi and ride him straight into the news for the week. Which we cover the fact that  ToysRus has filed for bankruptcy, and our take aways from last weeks Nintendo Direct. We talk about some 2k18 on the Switch, Monster Hunter Stories, and of course METROID METROID METROID!!!!! Then we waste no time as we get into the heated debate for the episode Super Mario World! We talk about our love and memories for this fantastic game, but poor Jacob is out numbered here three to one of people who do not agree that Donkey Kong Country is better than Super Mario World! BLASPHEMY!!!! Sorry..... always you decide and let us know who is right and who is wrong is Mario World or DKC better? Listen to the facts and find out! See yah next week! It's going to be a SMASHING GOOD TIME!!!!!!

In honor of the release of Metroid: Samus Returns here is a rerelease of one of our oldest episodes we did back in November of 2016! ENJOY!

COWABUNGA!!!!! Hey guys we hope you're all ready for a shell of a good time! Cause this week we welcome first time guest Josh from the Nintendo Power Cast Podcast to the show! We talk some news about third parties beginning to bring their bigger games over to the Switch. The possibility of Nintendo creating their own achievements system, and what we expected the latest Nintendo Direct to be about. Then we talk about what we've been playing and skate board right into the topic of the week, TMNT 2: The Arcade Game! This is a very special game to Jacob as it is his 2nd favorite NES game of all time! Only coming in second to Mario Bros. 3. This game defined what would be the best formula for the Turtles in a 2D side scroller. We talk about our love and memories for the game of course, the game itself and the impact of the Ninja Turtles in general. Where do we want the turtles to go, and why is it so hard to make a great game for them today? We share are thoughts on that, but we hope one day the turtles can return to form sooner rather than later! Enjoy and we will see you next week for another trip down yours and our memory lanes!
