Question: I'm not looking forward to Yom Kippur at all. It's not just the long davening and the fact that I am mostly bored in Shul. I don't get the entire concept of Teshuva. Hashem knows my sins. Why do I need to bother admitting them? Everyone says God forgives but honestly why would he. He knows the future and knows that I'm going to sin again anyway. I wouldn't forgive a friend if I knew they were going to make the same mistakes again. Why should God forgive me?

Tanya shiurim delivered in Mevaseret by Rav Burg
How do we approach Hashem on Rosh Hashana? Is God the teacher that's looking to catch us or is God the teacher that stands with us no matter how far we fall? Depending on how we see it makes all the difference when it comes to the Aseres Yemei Teshuva.
Question: Financial insecurity can be a big source of stress in a marriage. We are a klei kodesh/kollel/teaching couple living simply, but still struggling to make ends meet with children we have been blessed with in quick succession and the hope for more bshaah tova. What general advice would R’ Burg offer to a couple with big dreams of having big family iyh, the opportunity to channel our careers dedicated to the klal, but for whom the #s are just barely adding up. Thank you.
