NO BS WITH SB is proud to present JEAN-PIERRE PARENT This is the story about a boy named Jean-Pierre Parent Born in 1977 on October 24, Jean-Pierre’s love for magic started at his 9th birthday when he received his first magic kit. Practicing every day and performing tricks for his friends, JP started impressing his classmates and teachers. After seeing his first real magic show, Jean-Pierre begged his father to take him to a magic shop. It was then that he realized that he had a true passion for the art. At the age of 12, JP began to create his own show that he would perform for local schools. Word soon got out about the Montreal based magician, and it wasn’t long before he was sought out by businesses to perform at corporate events. At 16, JP got the opportunity to see David Copperfield perform live. After a meeting with Copperfield himself, Jean-Pierre knew that he wanted to devote himself and his career to magic.   As JP’s notoriety grew, he was asked to appear on several Canadian talk shows. With this new exposure, he decided to produce his first show in Montreal. After his performance, JP was approached by an agent and offered his first job onboard a cruise ship. It was in these early contracts that Jean-Pierre began cultivating his comedic talent as well. By blending comedy and magic, JP found a unique way of entertaining crowds. After perfecting his show by performing for a new audience every week, it was not long before other cruise lines heard about this new comedy magician. Soon, JP began working for 5 of the most prestigious cruise lines in the industry, including: Norwegian Cruise Line, Holland America, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, and Cunard.
