Nicolle is a bright, energetic, and soulful young woman with so much life to give! She is an Admissions Representative at Cowley County Community College, located in the very small town of Arkansas City, KS. She also serves on the Student Success Team as a Retention Specialist and is a co-sponsor of the Diverse Tigers Club.
Nicolle’s hometown is Arkansas City, KS, where she was quite the student-athlete herself, participating in volleyball, softball, competitive cheerleading, and track and field. She attended the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities after graduating from high school. During her time as a Golden Gopher, she completed her Bachelors and Masters programs, while participating on the Women’s Track and Field team. Nicolle threw the javelin for the Gophers and received many awards through her 5 years with the program. Two-time Big Ten Javelin Champion, Three-time Big Ten Team Champion, Three-time NCAA All-American, 2016 US Olympic Trials Finalist, and so much more.
She is a living example of God’s grace! This episode gives us a little taste of her journey. How she juggled being a student-athlete at the top of her game, while dealing with mental health, injuries & the demands of being a student-athlete. She even shares how her entire experience has shaped her into the young woman she is today.
