214 In this episode, I continue to teach on picking a side and the correct side to pick is a Biblical worldview.
James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
I also revisit Revelation 3:15,16 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
213 In this episode, I continue to teach on the importance of being in the word of God and I show you God wants you to pick a side.
I use Revelation 3:14-22 where Jesus describes the lukewarm church and how He wishes they were hot or cold. He then says He will vomit you out of His mouth if you are lukewarm.
God is a good God and only wants good things for you and as a perfect Father, He knows you can't survive long if you live your life in the middle of the road.
212 In this episode, I get on my soapbox early and begin to encourage you to get into the word of God.
I use Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
I use a couple of verses in Proverbs and go back to Matthew 7:13,14 and end our lesson in Matthew 11:25-30 where Jesus says, "My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
211 In this episode, I teach you how to abide in God's word. The way I do it on this episode is I read to you all of Proverbs chapters 3 and 4.
Since I am blessed with "superior" reading skills this is an enjoyable lesson indeed. ;-)
In order to abide in God's word, the first lesson is read or listen to God's word.
210 In this episode, I make a quick turn and begin to teach on the need to abide in God's word.
John 8:31, 32
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him. "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
You and I are deceived in any area in life where we do not have an intimate understanding or "knowing" of the truth.
209 In this episode, I teach how Father God sees the end from the beginning.
I use two of our favorite scriptures Proverbs 25:2 and Matthew 6:33 to make my point.
I then read the obituary I wrote about myself. This idea came from a mentor I have (online) Donald Miller in Business Made Simple where he teaches in order to give your life direction you need to point your life toward a final destination.
I am giving him credit for the idea but I'm going t use the idea to better ground you and me into God's word.
I created an easy one-page document in Google drive to get you started.
208 In this episode, I continue to teach on the Kingdom of God and how one of God's attributes is seeing the end from the beginning.
Since none of us are going to get out of this life alive, wouldn't it be wise to point toward our final day with a specific purpose in mind?
I use Psalm 139 and Psalm 90 again as our scriptures and I also use King David's example in 2 Samuel 11.
207 In this episode, I start out talking about the Kingdom of God and how God sees the end from the beginning but I quickly chase after a rabbit and start a conversation on the "Sons of God."
This was not in my notes but someone (maybe me) needed to hear this.
206 In this episode, I talk about how to seek God's way of doing things. God sees the end from the beginning and I introduce the concept in this episode.
I mentioned The Kingdom of God lessons I did a while back on told you I would link to the episodes.
205 In this episode, I continue to think about the end from the beginning. Doing business God's way.
I use Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written. The days fashioned for me. When as yet there were none of them.
Peter 3:8 But beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
