27 in this episode, we continue looking at how King David defeated Goliath.
I believe King David defeated Goliath with his words and the power of God.
God spoke the world into existence and it's the same here for you and me to walk by faith by using our words and adding action.
273 In this episode, I continue to teach spiritual audacity examples in the Bible.
As a young boy, King David was anointed King but hadn't gotten to see it with his eyes come to pass.
David used his testimony of how he killed a lion and a bear to convince King Saul to defeat Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:34-37 is an excellent example of how powerful your testimony is and why applying the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 12:11) to your testimony makes it a spiritual weapon satan can not stop.
272 In this episode, I continue to teach about being spiritually audacious.
We finally get to take about King David and how he served his father Jessie and how he was anointed King but then went back into the field with the sheep.
We are studying 1 Samuel chapters 16 and 17.
271 In this episode, I begin to talk about what it takes to walk on water. God still has me on John 14:12 but I also introduce a couple of different scripture verses to help make my point.
I believe we as the church need to take more chances, and "attempting to walk on water" is one big full-court shot I'm going to continue to take.
270 In this episode, I continue to challenge you to be "spiritually audacious."
I use John 14:12
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."
and Mark 11:22-24
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
I announce in this episode what I plan to attempt based on a note I have in my Bible I wrote over 15 years ago.
269 In this episode, I continue the lesson on the church needing to be more spiritually audacious.
The verses I use are John 14:12
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."
and Mark 11:22-24
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
I encourage you to meditate on these two scriptures and use Romans 10:17 and Luke 18:7,8 to challenge you to use faith.
268 In this episode, I introduce a new word into our discussion. I read it in a book recently, called the Mysteries of the Messiah by Rabbi Jason Sobel.
The word is "chutzpah" and its meaning for our discussion is spiritual audacity. I believe what the body of Christ needs today is more spiritual audacity.
Chutzpah is the word and I use John 14:12 to make my initial point.
267 In this episode, I conclude the Us vs. Them teaching on (my) finances. I use multiple scriptures in this episode to make my point. satan is a punk and Jesus is the truth.
You and I must decide how we are going to follow God and the Bible is clear we need to be "all-in!"
In Matthew 13:44,44 Jesus teaches the parable about the treasure hidden in a field and the pearl of great price.
Each shows the kingdom of heaven is found by someone seeking and when the treasure is uncovered the person sells everything to purchase the treasure.
It's time to go all-in with your commitment to Jesus.
266 In this episode, I continue to teach about my poor financial decision-making and use a story in the Old Testament as my example.
The story is about Joseph and how his brothers sold him and then showed his father the coat of many colors.
Genesis 37 is where you find the story, but I want you to pay close attention to Genesis 37:32,33, where someone shows Isreal Joseph's coat, and his imagination and satan do the rest.
265 In this episode, I ask the question Should a Christian tithe?
I do my best to begin to answer the question and figure out this one will need another episode.
I use Malachi 3:8-11 and Matthew 6:24
