Mirella started her DJ Journey in 2018, performing with funky House and Disco sets. Her sound is ever-evolving and she has diversified: from (Deep) House, Disco, Synthwave/Pop to rather progressive sounds from the 90s till now. One day you will hear her playing some classic Disco tracks and the next you will hear her playing Eurodance at 6 am. You just never know.

"Music means freedom!" those were the exact words of Christ Whap-a-dang - he unintentionally answers the BASF's tor4 question. The Heidelberg/Mannheim German DJ is the co-founder of the renowned world music event series "Disko Esperanto" at the Alte Feuerwache Mannheim. He is a passionate record collector and for many years has been an ardent fan of folkloric sounds from all over the world.

With his DJ sets, he opens his private music archive and selects for you a round of danceable world music between tradition and modernity. From Latin American Salsa, Cumbia, Son Cubano, Merengue to Eastern European Balkan beats and brass, international Reggae and Ska, Arabic Rai, Bhangra and Bollywood sounds from India, Descarga and Afrobeat from the black continent and Klezmer to rebellious Mestizo, Spanish Rumba, Irish and Nordic Folklore, Gypsy music and ethno-infected Drum'n'Bass, everything comes to the turntable that invites you to dance unrestrainedly.

Born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany to British ex-pats he got into, music from a young age. In early 2019 he started DJing in some of Edinburgh’s sickest clubs such as Sneaky Pete’s and the Bongo Club. In 2020, he holds a monthly residency at EH-FM.

About Super Venus: Super Venus is a french-german DJ who came to Karlsruhe to study graphic design and ended up staying in the region to organize and develop art and music events in all different forms, either with her DJ collective BLEX or with ato.black*.

“This mix is about a personal journey between sharp percussion, soft reverber and hypnotic baselines for a pandemic survivors dancefloor.”

WHO'S GIULIO VILLANO?

“I started mixing when I was fourteen on Virtual Dj (thanks AceCrack) at house parties and it wasn’t until I was 7 that I bought my first vinyl at Disco Frisco. In 2014 I started supporting the Trash-Dance collective and getting inspired by their music. After spending years researching sounds in the maze of 80s and 90s club music, in 2019 I got the chance to take part in Biennale College Musica and be tutored by William Bottin, Cristiano Spiller and Fabrizio Mammarella.

During the pandemic, with a bunch of friends, we started Flexxy Haus, a space of music sharing for the djs from Veneto.

I cannot identify myself to a specific music genre, I prefer to focus on sensations and their evolution during a set, in what I like to call “Cosmic Reinassance” sound, going from hypnotic sea depths to lysergic euphoric deep space feelings.”
