Francesco Fisotti, better known as GSQ, has been producing highly refined beats since the early 2000s, becoming one of the most influential figures for the international and local underground music scene.

He started off his music career in 1998, by broadening and bringing beyond the traditional rap and salentinian raggamuffin into his own stylistic evolution, approaching and experimenting instrumental based music followed by new scenarios.

From library music to broken-beat, hip-hop and deep house, it doesn’t really matter which genre, GSQ has established his own sound throughout the years, becoming well recognizable in all forms, able to create vivid and authentic pieces of art.

In 2018, he founded his own independent record label “Quattro Bambole Music”, taking on the role of executive producer and artistic director, with a focus on limited vinyl pressings.

Fisotti's latest album 'Lido Sirena' has been released on July 7th, 2021 under Quattro Bambole Music.

In this project, a fusion between balearic music, disco-funk and synth boogie, Francesco blends many of the sounds that have shaped his musical journey as an artist and producer, also featuring several recorded instruments like saxophone, electric guitars, percussions and more.

Born in the UK from Italian parents, he grew up in Manchester where he showed since an early age his love for music: at first with jazz music and then with electronic music.

In 2021 he released Dancing Labirinto, his third album, that takes inspiration from 90’s UK rave scene. Ich.Bin.Bob reworks these sounds in a personal way, experimenting raw sounds and acidic basslines.

Mario aka QAEL is an MC / Soul Singer / Beatmaker, class 93 originally from Campobasso, Italy.

He made his debut in 2015 with his first album "Un Modo Di Agire" produced by one of the founders of the FAHBRO group (Fabrizio Fiorilli).

He currently lives in Bologna and together with the pianist Antonio De Donno aka add + they gave life to the project Inflow, from which the EP ‘Riflessi’ was released on April 30th, 2021.

Through his music Qael proposes languages that combine the essence of Hip Hop culture with all its Soul, Jazz and Funk roots.

In this mix semba, kazukuta, kuduro, tarraxo and many more styles coming from the musseques (shantytowns) of Luanda and the outskirts of Lisbon join forces to dismantle the colonialist and lusotropicalist agenda of the central fado song, for which Angola “will always be Portugal”. While aiming to make people dance frantically on dusty grounds as well as on the hot asphalt of the suburbs, this non-chronological stream of words, chants, guitar riffs, drum patterns and electronic beats is a declaration of independence, self-construction, identity and freedom.

Suerta (Bruno Rana) is a NJR resident DJ and radio host based in London, UK. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Music (Ethnomusicology) at Goldsmiths – University of London, graduating with a dissertation on the influence of Angolan music in Lisbon’s electronic dance music scene (“Luso-Sonic Lisbon: the Angolan Roots of Electronic Dance Music made in the City’s Peripheral Areas”)

Rights of Passage is a mixtape inspired by the eponymous book of Kamau Brathwaite, exploring different eras and music genres to underline how music has been a tool for affirming people’s identities, cultures and values in a hostile world, from Jamaican dub to African salsa, from ‘90s French rap to the Malian singer Nahawa Doumbia supporting illegal immigrants.

Federico de Felice is the co-founder of ATLANTICO Festival, a Bologna-based festival born in 2018, exploring the cultural heritage coming from Africa and African diasporas. As a music journalist he writes for Esquire Italia and Noisey. As a DJ he is part of Bologna’s ecosystem, having played in many venues like TPO, Auditorium Flog, Mish Mash Festival, Freakout Club, Granata. He is the host of "ATLANTICO" radio show on NEU RADIO.
