On this week’s episode I’m back again with another episode on our mini series Bet on Yourself. 

As I said before, I wanted to talk to my very talented friends who are in their 20’s who I believe are taking risks on themselves in their careers. This week I had the pleasure to sit down with Galen Schneider.

 Galen is definitely a REAL go getter! We talked about everything from his passion of dancing, to fear of failure, how to combat comparison, and how immersing himself in other people’s culture allowed for him to truly become a global citizen.

On this week’s episode I’m starting a mini series called Bet on Yourself. I wanted to talk to my friends who are in their 20’s who I believe are taking risks on themselves in their careers. 

So, to start this mini series off I wanted to sit down with my good friend Caroline Donica. 

Caroline is someone I truly believe is creating a lane for herself, like starting her own web series. We talk about everything from storytelling and representation. Finding joy in what you do and investing in yourself.

On this week’s episode I’m joined by the amazing and extremely intellectual April Hayes. 

April brought her expertise and experience to this conversation on healing intergenerational trauma, and this was everything I didn’t know I needed. I hope it is the same for you! 

This was definitely a jam packed episode! April and myself talked about how the body responds to trauma, how social media plays a role in the continuation of trauma, and how trauma shows up in the Black body and white body.

On this week's episode I'm joined by Alexandria Joy Thomas. 

We talked about everything from colorism, to being a biracial woman in America, racism, and how we can lift the chasms in the Black community. So that we can further the conversation about the ways in which we treat each other. 

There are several major key takeaways from this conversation that I hope you all learn from, and are able to continue these conversations far beyond this episode.
