  • The BODY OF DIANNA BRICE FOUND
Bernhardt said that the discovery was made thanks to hard work by Philadelphia and Upper Darby investigators. He didn't reveal how Brice died or how her body was found.
Brice disappeared after telling her mother she was going with her boyfriend to pick up a daily medication she takes for a serious medical condition. She later called to say they were driving to Philadelphia. That was the last the family heard from her.
The mother said that hours later she got a hold of Smith who told her Brice took off on foot after an argument. Brice's father, who did not want to be identified, spoke with NBC10 about that conversation.
"She calls him, and he was like, 'Oh yeah, me and her was arguing.' And she got out at 57th and Springfield," he said. "First of all, as a man, if that's my lady and she pregnant, I'm not letting you out of the car. And if I do, I'm going to follow you and I'm going to call either your brother or sister or somebody to tell them to come and get you."
Police wouldn't comment Tuesday about the whereabouts of Smit
Then, later that day Smith's car was found on fire in West Philadelphia, near Florence Avenue and 59th Street in West Philadelphia – that’s a little more than 1 mile from where the body was found.
"But to dump my daughter out like this, like she's trash, that's where the problem comes in," Brice's father said. "This is a dumpsite. My daughter ain't trash."
Investigators have yet to reveal how they believe Brice died.
Philadelphia police will lead the investigation.
Brice's loved ones had a message for Smith, who they said had argued with her about being 4 months pregnant with their child.
"We would like for you to turn yourself in man," Tito Rivera, Brice's cousin, said. "We just want you to do the right thing."
Brice's father described her as a homebody and a good mother who often hung out with her cousins. She would have turned 22 on April 15.
"She'd give you the world," he said. "She'd do anything for you. She's always home. And now it's like, when I come, I can't even see her if I visit her. I mean I'm trying to tell my son. I just can't."

https://abc7ny.com/brooklyn-murder-suicide-brownsville-shootings-murders/10490396/ victims were shot inside a fourth floor apartment on Sutter Avenue in Brownsville, inside the Van Dyke Houses, where the girl called 911 around 11:20 p.m. to report that her father had shot her mother and sisters.
"Body-worn camera of her calling 911 just breaks your heart," NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Essig said. "She is saying, 'Daddy is coming from my birthday. He didn't bring presents'...It's really heart wrenching. They have no prior domestic history, there is no 911 calls between them." victims were identified as 45-year-old Rasheeda Barzey, 20-year-old Solei Spears and 16-year-old Chloe Spears. They were reported deceased at the scene.
Health + Hospitals released a statement on the death of Barzey, who was a NYC Health + Hospitals employee.
"We are deeply saddened by the senseless death of a member of the NYC Health + Hospitals family. In addition to reaching out to relatives, we have activated our Helping Healers Heal team to support those who worked beside this staff member and may need grief counseling," spokesman Chris Miller said.
It's not yet known what her position was at the hospital.
Police said they found the 9-year-old girl hiding in the closet.
"We believe that he had a 20-year relationship with the female killed," Essig said. "He comes to the apartment for the...daughter that they have in common, for her birthday party."
The 46-year-old suspect, Joseph McCrimon, was found outside a nearby building in the same city-run housing complex.

Ex-Bucks County D.A.R.E. Police Officer Accused of Sexually Assaulting Boys. A former police officer who worked to keep children from abusing drugs and resisting violence is accused of sexually abusing several teens and faces more than 100 counts of assault and abuse in a Bucks County, Pennsylvania, court.
James Carey, a retired Warminster Township police officer who worked with children as part of the D.A.R.E. program, is accused of sexually abusing at least four teenage boys dating back two decades, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said.
Carey, who turns 53 next week, was arraigned on at least 122 counts late Wednesday morning. The accusations against Carey include several counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault of a child and corruption of minors, according to court records.
Carey's bail was set at 10% or $100,000, according to court records. He was sent to county jail following his court hearing.
Carey said nothing as he entered the court Wednesday morning or left it in handcuffs. His attorney Michael Applebaum proclaimed Carey is innocent.
"We look forward to proving his innocence in court," Applebaum said.
The arrest came after a grand jury investigation, the DA’s office said.
District Attorney Matt Weintraub will reveal details about the investigation at a 2 p.m. Wednesday news conference.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education, a.k.a. D.A.R.E. "envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance use, and other dangerous behaviors," according to the national program's website. D.A.R.E. programs aimed at preventing drug usage and youth violence are set up in for students of all ages in schools.
Carey served as a D.A.R.E. officer for Log College Middle School in the Centennial School District, according to court documents. He interreacted with some of his alleged victims at the school and other locations in the township.
Carey, who is not married and has no children, retired from the Warminster force in 2009, it was revealed in court. Carey, who is now a resident of Cape May County, New Jersey, has worked as a security guard since his retirement, but is currently unemployed.

http://facebook.com/xcalibur23 Officials say 21-year-old Dianna Brice went missing on Tuesday, March 30, and was last seen at K Laundry with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Justin Smith.
UPPER DARBY, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Upper Darby Township police are looking for a missing woman who was last seen with her boyfriend on Tuesday.
Officials say 21-year-old Dianna Brice went missing on March 30. She was last seen at K Laundry with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Justin Smith, at about 1 p.m. on Church Lane in Yeadon, Delaware County, police said. Brice's mother, Betty Cellini, told Action News that her daughter is 14-weeks pregnant and that she has a serious medical condition.
"I'm not stopping, she's my daughter. My baby of five, she has a son at home," said Cellini. "I'm numb. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say."
She said that her daughter takes medication daily and has not taken it since she went missing.
"I'm numb. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say," she said.
Cellini said she called Smith who said he had gotten into an argument with Brice.
"He goes, 'She don't want to even talk to me.' I said, 'I don't care, she's pregnant with your child,'" said Cellini. About two hours later, police said Smith's 2018 black Ford Fusion was found on fire in the area of 59th and Florence streets in Philadelphia.
Investigators said this is the vehicle that Brice and Smith were last seen in.
Eyewitnesses said there was smoke through the neighborhood.
"It's scary to see a car on fire thinking somebody could be in there," said Kenneth White, who saw the car engulfed in flames.
Investigators said there was no one inside the car, and they believe Smith's wallet and keys may have been found nearby.
Upper Darby Township police said Monday that the case has them stumped. This one has everyone perplexed. Nothing really makes sense here," said Tim Bernhardt, the superintendent for Upper Darby Township Police.
Cellini said Smith has had previous run-ins with the law, though police couldn't comment.
"I wish my daughter would have never met him," said Cellini. "She has a 4-year-old son that keeps asking me, 'Where's my mommy?'"
Police said Brice was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, black sweatpants, and a pair of UGG slides that are pink/blue/yellow.
Brice is approximately 4'11" and weighs 190 pounds. She has tattoos including a small black heart on her right hand, a Mickey Mouse glove with the letters "AJ" on her left forearm, a rose on her left shoulder and right ankle, the word "NANNY" on her left shoulder and "My Brother's Keeper" on her chest.
Anyone with any information on where Brice or Smith should contact the Upper Darby Police Department Detective Division at 610-734-7677 .
