  • Anthony Troupe Child molester/rapist
Hatboro-Horsham school aide charged with sexually assaulting children
BENSALEM TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Anthony Troupe is behind bars after he allegedly sexually assaulted two children, including one as young as three years old.
Troupe, 33 of Bensalem Township, is accused of raping a child, corruption of minors, and other related offenses. "This all started with a child pornography case back on March 16 when he was arrested for over 50 images, which we believe there may be more than one thousand images on his computers and in cyberspace," said Fred Harran, director of public safety for The Bensalem Township Police.
Troupe was a special education assistant at Hallowell Elementary School in Horsham, Montgomery County, in February 2020 and again in September 2020.
A spokesperson for the Hatboro-Horsham School District said he was terminated after his arrest on March 16 and was contracted through a company called 'Substitute Teacher Service Inc.'
Action News reached out to the third-party company but has yet heard back.
"We don't believe there are any victims there, but we do believe that there's a possibility of other victims either in Bucks or Montgomery County or even in Carbon County," said Harran. "He's had other residences in Bucks County. In a statement, a spokesperson for the Hatboro Horsham School District said, "We have no knowledge of any crime committed at the district or involving our students. The district has been in contact with the families of students to whom Troupe was directly assigned."
Police add the suspect advertised himself as a babysitter and believe there could be more victims.
"This is crazy. This guy has gone through any means to try to get in the company of young children," said Harran. "We're asking for the public's help if any child was in his care."
Troupe is being held on $1 million bail.
Read the full statement released by the Hatboro-Horsham School District: The Hatboro-Horsham School District is committed to the safety and well-being of all students. We are troubled to learn that a special education assistant, Anthony Troupe, has been charged with numerous crimes related to children by the Bensalem Police Department in Bucks County, PA. The District is working closely and collaboratively with law enforcement on this matter. We have no knowledge of any crime committed at the District or involving our students. The District has been in contact with the families of students to whom Troupe was directly assigned.
Troupe was not a direct employee of the District but assigned to Hallowell Elementary School through a contracted service, Substitute Teacher Service, Inc. providing specialized learning support. His child abuse clearances were current and in accordance with State law and District policies. Troupe worked at Hallowell during February 2020 and then again beginning in September 2020 until March 16, 2021. The district has terminated his employment based on his arrest.
Hatboro-Horsham School District will continue to prioritize the safety of our students through the investigation. We recognize that this is upsetting to our school families and faculty. Counseling services and support will be made available for students and staff. Anyone who has information pertaining to these or other related crimes should contact the Bensalem Police Department, 215-633-3700, or the Horsham Police Department, 215-643-8284."

  • 20YEAR OLD SHOT SPEACIAL GUEST BEE
20-year-old man was shot and killed on the grounds of the Curran-Fromhold Correction Facility in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia less than an hour after being released from the prison, police said.
The victim has been identified as Rodney Hargrove of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Department of Prisons Commissioner Blanche Carney said Hargrove was shot and killed while his family was on the way to pick him up.
Hargrove was released at 1:10 a.m. Thursday after posting bail.
Prison personnel transported him across the street to the SEPTA bus stop, which is the official drop-off point, where he awaited his family.

Approximately 47 minutes later, Carney said a car began to chase Hargrove at the drop-off point and he ran back onto prison grounds.
Hargrove ran past the entrance gate where a guard is usually posted and the vehicle followed.
Carney said the arm to the gate was in a raised position, which allowed the vehicle to enter.
"(The arm is) raised by the correctional officer assigned to that post. And, for whatever reason, the officer raised it, and at the time of the pursuit, the vehicle was able to proceed through that raised arm," Carney said.
The prison commissioner said they're investigating whether a guard was actually at the gate at the time and why the arm was raised.
Hargrove was then shot and killed feet from the gate near a shed on prison grounds.
When police and medics arrived on location, they found the 20-year-old man lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, chest, and arms, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Small said, based on ballistic evidence, at least 10 shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon.
Authorities found most of the shell casings near the victim's body which, Small said, indicated the shooter or shooters were in close proximity to Hargrove at the time of the shooting.
Prison guards described a dark colored vehicle seen speeding from the property after hearing gunshots.

  • BUCKS CountyWomen kill robbed
Evoire Collier, Dorian Taylor Accused Of Drugging, Raping Bucks County Resident, Christine Englehardt, Found Dead On Spring Break In Miami A Bucks County woman was found dead at a hotel in Miami Beach and now two men are facing charges for allegedly raping and drugging her.
Eyewitness News spoke to Christine Englehardt’s mother Tuesday afternoon and understandably she did not want to go on camera. She is completely distraught at the loss of her daughter, who went down to Miami Beach for spring break.Unfortunately, she will not be headed home as police investigate her chance encounter with two men from North Carolina. Twenty-one-year-old Evoire Collier and 24-year-old Dorian Taylor are being held without bail. They’re accused of drugging and raping Englehardt who was visiting South Beach for spring break.
“The victim couldn’t pick even up a phone to call police or 911 after they did whatever they did to her,” Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer said.
In a bail hearing Monday, Glazer admonished the two North Carolina men who allegedly met their victim at a restaurant, and at some point, slipped her a green pill. It isn’t clear if it was given to her unknowingly, or if she took it willingly. But next, the men were both seen on surveillance video at her hotel walking the victim to her room. Police do not believe they had consent to go inside. When apprehended on Ocean Drive, police say Collier was wearing the same pants seen on surveillance the night he was with the victim.
Taylor was not only seen on video surveillance using the victim’s credit card at a liquor store, police say Englehardt’s cell phone and additional green pills were found in his bag.
The co-defendants are facing sexual battery, burglary, credit card fraud and theft charges.
“I’m not setting a bond. This is a very serious charge, you batter a helpless victim,” Glazer said.
The two men could be facing additional charges including manslaughter or murder if the medical examiner determines the drug they gave Englehardt played a role in her death. They will be arraigned in 21 days.
In addition to Englehardt’s mother, Eyewitness News reached out to friends and coworkers at Jules Thin Crust Pizza in Newtown where she worked. They said they were not commenting.

But some of her coworkers and friends began circulating a GoFundMe campaign to help her family cover funeral expenses. Over $5,000 has already been raised.
“They had sex with her multiple times and once she was unconscious, or out, they remained inside the unit. Did not call for assistance or help and began to take all her items from inside the apartment,” Miami Police Detective Luis Alsina said.
Hotel staff found the 24-year-old’s half-naked body the following day and called the police. A search for the suspects was launched, with police eventually tracking them both down.

  • Mother charged after son fatally shoots his sister inside Collegeville home
COLLEGEVILLE - A mother is facing charges after her son fatally shot his sister inside their home in Collegeville, prosecutors announced.
Daisy Vasquez, 31, is charged with third-degree endangering welfare of children, possession of a firearm by a minor–responsibility of adult and related charges. She turned herself in Monday
Officers from the Upper Providence Township Police Department were called to Larchwood Court on March 19 for reports of a shooting inside a residence.
The investigation found that Vasquez asked her son to go outside to her car to get a 9mm handgun that was legally registered to her. The home surveillance video recovered by detectives shows the shooting. According to investigators, the video shows the 13-year-old boy entering the house with a handgun. Seconds later, while the boy had the gun pointed in 12-year-old Jasiyah Vasquez's direction it discharged and she collapsed, investigators said.
Investigators say Jasiyah was found in the living room with a single gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived, according to police. "The death of this girl is a tragedy, but it could have been prevented. A pivotal aspect is the mother asking her child to go outside to the driveway to retrieve her handgun from the car—a handgun that had a bullet chambered and ready to shoot," said DA Kevin Steele. "A parent has a legal responsibility to protect their children, and a handgun owner has a legal responsibility to keep their guns out of the hands of children. This defendant failed on both counts. Now a young girl is dead, and a boy is facing murder charges."
An autopsy performed determined the cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the chest and ruled it to be a homicide.
According to DA Steele, despite the child's age, Pennsylvania law requires that they charge the boy in adult criminal court.
