  • We Just Witnessed the Best Weekend of Football Ever (Ep051)

Illinois remains in the rankings this week, at #24, despite two losses. Craig Choate and Logan Lee begrudgingly recap the loss at Maryland last Friday and look ahead to the matchup against #10 Michigan State on Tuesday and Northwestern on Saturday. They also discuss the status of Kofi Cockburn and the expectations with him on the court, and without him. What should this Illini team’s postseason goal be?

Craig goes on a bit of a rant for this Moment of the Week this week, involving the reaction to a viral video of a reporter getting hit by a car while doing a live shot.

The Missouri Valley Conference has yet another new member, the UIC Flames. The guys are in approval of the addition and five their thoughts in this episode.

They also try their best to recap the best weekend of football in the history of football, with all 4 NFL games ending in walk-off scores.

Craig had a busy week of entertainment as he watched No Way Home, Don’t Look Up, and the How I Met Your Mother reboot of How I Met Your Father. Logan also has some celebrity gossip he wanted to bring up.

All that and much much more in episode 51!

  • Andre Curbelo Returns, Illini fall to Purdue (Ep050)

The #17 Illini are handed their first conference loss of the season by #4 Purdue, in an instant classic 96-88 in double overtime! Andre Curbelo returned to the court for the first time since November and nearly helped lead Illinois to a comeback win. Craig Choate and Logan Lee breakdown that game and look ahead to the only other matchup of the week, at Maryland.

The guys also give their thoughts on the College Football National Championship game, Georgia beating Alabama 33-18.

Then they go into some professional sports headlines. The NFL Playoffs have been lackluster for the most part, aside from the Dallas vs. San Francisco and Cincinnati vs. Las Vegas games. Cowboys fan, Craig, reacts to the absurd ending of that game and who the guys think might be headed to the Super Bowl.

25% of all NFL head coaching positions are vacant at the moment, including the Chicago Bears. Who do Craig and Logan think might be the best available?

The show closes by talking about the loss of Bob Saget, who was a huge part of both our hosts childhood with Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos. Rest in Peace, Bob Saget.
