  • 20 questions with Stephan Francescone from Geraputo Comedy!

Big show tonight folks, and yes, its another first!…we love comedy in all formats and tonight's guest is helping to bring comedy to as many people

as possible. How can you not love that!? Stephan Francescone is an up and coming comedian and produces comedy shows in the New England area
through his company Geraputo Comedy. In that capacity, he has worked with and booked many regional sensations with an overall goal of highlighting the immense comedic talent that New England has to offer. In coordination with Mark Moccia Comedy, Erin Feeley and Blend Comedy he is helping to produce and present the FIRST EVER Seacoast Comedy Festival https://seacoastcomedyfest.com/ in June 2023. This festival is designed to highlight comedians in New England. They focus on elevating local, up and coming comedians and help to showcase everything the seacoast has to offer! We talked about the cruel (yet funny) origin of his company name, how/why he got into to stand up, his support for Karaoke as the art for it is, the reasons why NE has so many funny people, his dream game show, his opinion on prop comics, gives us all the details on the upcoming Seacoast Comedy Festival, the first movie that turned on his sense of humor (you will be surprised), his dream location to perform, he provides his Mount Rushmore of comics, weighs in on the UFO phenomenon, definitively states what language is the most aggressive and helps to make an argument for Comedy being the actual oldest artform. Thank you for coming on the show and we hope you all enjoyed the conversation as much as we did!

  • 20 Questions with Playwright Jack Rushton!

Another first on the No Outlet Podcast folks! We love performers of all varieties. We also inherently love those that create the content for those performers…without writers, there are no performances. In fact, as the current writers strike shows, not having writers on board can literally

stop the show with SNL shutting it down for the rest of the year.

Jack Rushton is the Director of New Play Programs and a Resident Artist at Greenwich Theatre Company, Greenwich, CT. He has spent 15 years collaborating

with The Actors Studio of Newburyport, MA, serving on their board, directing and performing in dozens of shows while organizing and producing five National Short Play Festivals, six Collaboration Shows, and three collections of his own work.

His play "George’s Radio" won The Andaluz Award at The Fusion Theater’s in 2017. His short play, "Mistranslations" was a 2019 finalist for The National Playwriting Award, City Theatre-Miami, FL. His work has been produced at venues including: The Huntington Theater, The Boston Center for the Arts, The Boston Playwright’s Theater, The Player’s Theater, The Producer’s Club, The Workshop Theater, LIC Secret Theater, Manhattan Repertory, The Silver Springs Stage Co, The Garfield Center for the Arts, North Park Vaudeville, The Durango Center for the Arts, The Bangor Opera House, The Firehouse Center for the Arts, The Vermont Playwright's Circle, and the list goes on...

Bottom line is that is he is a very well respected and dedicated Playwright and we are extremely happy to have him on the show! We talked about the origin of his love for Theatre, the firs play he ever saw that really moved him, the stark reality of interdimensional beings living among us, his deserted island play (and movie), the wonders of the Chocolate Church, the rise and fall of Maine, we turn him on to Black Mirror, he graciously describes his writing process, why Playwrighting is his number 1, the many benefits of Improv, the best play ever adapted to a movie, the similarities between sales and writing and his thoughts on artificial intelligence creeping into the content creation realm. He also provides us with some updates of where to see his newest work (live and on YouTube!) so take a listen and go check it out! Thank you for coming on the show and we hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did!

  • 20 Questions with Chat GPT! (Ignore the answer to the first question)

Well it is another first on the No Outlet Podcast folks! Artificial Intelligence or AI is creeping into our lives like a Ninja in a Chuck Norris movie and there is not much we can do about it. Instead of pretending like its not happening or assuming to understand what it is all about we figured we would go right to the source and interview the AI Superstar known as CHAT GPT.

All answers are directly from the programed mind of the fastest growing application in history and they may surprise you. We recently received a large grant to fund a Text to Voice platform but (as the first answer shows) it was not the most successful purchase so we ditched the recently purchased gadget and simply read the answers.

Full disclosure, my mind is still somewhat located in Mexico so I had a few vocabulary challenges but we made it through! We asked our AI friend about The Jeep Wave, the most influential comedians, Hummingbirds as Pets, Annoying Driving habits, Best TV Shows, The dangers (and benefits) of Alcohol, vs Coffee, it weighs in on Karaoke as an Olympic Event, shares its thoughts on interdimensional beings, answers back to back Brady Bunch Questions, defines the importance of Honey Bees and talks bout how Improv can save the world among many other super important topics.

So what do we learn? While AI in its current state has a long way to go before it can answer questions "like a human" it is interesting to see glimmers of thoughts being strung together and the speed at which improvements can be made will yield many advancements in the coming years. The fact is that we could not have had this type of conversation with a computer a year ago and that is impressive and somewhat horrifying at the same time.

To all the Non-AI listeners out there...hang on to what it means to be human and never let go! Thank you for listening and be well!

  • 20 Questions with Walter from Wise House Coffee!

Oh my, oh my, oh MY…this is ANOTHER first on the no outlet Podcast! Confession…I am addicted to Coffee. Yup, its true. The smell, the warmth,

the taste. Coffee is the great unifier…good to start the day, good for brainstorming, good for all night study sessions, good for heart to heart talks, first dates, break ups….it is perhaps the most versatile drink on planet earth.

And yet…at its core…it’s just hot water and ground beans. Two ingredients…however, the manner with which those two ingredients are combined can have drastically different results.  Bottom line is that you need skill and knowledge to make a great cup of coffee and Walter from Wise House Coffee has both, he is the Mayor of coffee! We talked about the art and effort involved in "Seed to Cup" roasting, his numerous UFO siting's while in the Navy, the origins of his passion for Coffee, how Dog are greater than People, the best Star Wars movie, his favorite eating establishments in Amesbury, the imminent horror or AI war Robots, the best at home coffee device, evolving ones coffee pallet, he provides his mount Rushmore of coffee strains, gives his signature drink at Wise House, discusses his favorite concerts and the problematic issues of a Skateboarding Legend among many other super important topics.
