It's everyone's favorite gameshow...Dead or Alive and you can play too! When our writers came up with this concept, I know that the only person worthy of taking the test was our Pop Culture correspondent...the one and only Cha Cha Choo! The game itself sounds simple...I say a name of a celebrity and Cha Cha states (with confidence?) if they are dead or alive, simple right? Conceptually, yes it does sound easy and when we came up with the list of celebrities we thought for sure he would score 100% but that is where things get interesting. So we invite you to take the test along with the Expert and see how you score. If you beat his score, let us know about it!
Thanks to our writers, RIP to all the celebs on our list and thanks to Mr. Choo for playing along, we hope you all enjoy it as much as we did!

Big show tonight folks! As you all know, I am a passionate supporter of Hemp and the good people/companies who offer and promote the benefits found with such an amazing plant. In fact, you also know that I was fortunate enough to own and operate a Hemp company (Shout out to Lost Harvest!) in the early 90s. We sold 27 different hemp accessories and we had a great time doing it! Well, I am happy to say that Hemp is alive and well…in fact its become bigger and more diversified than most people would have guessed way back then. Tonight we have someone who is part of the movement today and someone who’s company is on the forefront of that movement. Laura Beohner from The Healing Rose Company was nice enough to join us on the show and we had a great time!
We discussed the undeniable fact that Hemp can change the world, how she got into Hemp, how many UFOs she has seen, the best place to get a coffee in Newburyport, how Will Farrell ruined The Office, her mount Rushmore of Movies (maybe the best we have heard), her best selling products, the annoying laugh track from the 80s, how many retail stores they are in, the Genius of Ed Norton, her favorite concert (may surprise you), the fact the Hermione Graner uses her lip balm, her adventure at the Cannabis Cup in Denver (FREE WEED!), how we both miss Plum Island Roasters, and (of course) how to get some of their amazing (and organic) products among many other crucially important topics. Go check them out at https://www.thehealingroseco.com/ or any one of the many Local Retailers carrying their fine products. Thank you for coming on the show and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

When I was in High School, I had a Biology teacher (who was also a neighbor) who would always wear a shirt that said "ATTITUDE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE". White Shirt, bold black letters. He would also drink Bud pounders non stop and buy weed from my Mom's boyfriend...ahh, the early 80s.
Anyway, when I used to see his shirt, I never really knew what it meant. There were a few times that I asked him and he did give an answer but it just didn't compute with my unformed brain. To be truthful, I am still not sure exactly what he was trying to convey with that shirt slogan. However, I think that after 52 years on this planet, I may have finally cracked the code. Now, I like to believe that what he was saying (and ultimately his belief) was that regardless of what is going on around you or in front of you or even "to" you, the only thing that really mattered was how you reacted to everything as that ultimately dictated how it impacted your life. Taking that thought a step further, one could say that if you have a good/positive attitude then you are aligning yourself to be met with positive events and situations...you are expecting it. Conversely, if you are always focused on bad things and negative outcomes well they will find you too. Even if bad things do come your way, how much you let it impact you is ultimately a choice. Go watch "Life is Beautiful" and you will see what I am trying to say.
With that as the premise, I would have to agree with my Neighbor/Teacher/Beer Drinker/Ahead of his time spiritual mage and concur that ATTITUDE DOES MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. This episode is (somewhat) focused on that thought but I really just scratched the surface of a few topics. The bottom line is that...for me...expecting good things and showing gratitude towards everything and everyone as much as possible seems to work really well. Hope you all give it a try and find the same results, thank you for listening!
