  • 20 Questions with Summer Star from Envirotextiles

Hemp can save the world! That is a fact that I have known since the early 90s we were very lucky to have someone who’s company is on the forefront of that movement. Summer Star from EnviroTextiles is a True Hemp Pioneer and she's on the No Outlet Podcast! Back in the 90s, I was lucky enough to own and operate a Hemp company called Lost Harvest and I remember meeting the mother of our guest several times during that period…Yes, I am dating myself here! Anyway, I always love going down The Hemp Movement Memory lane and Summer was a great partner on that journey! We discussed interdimensional beings (they are here with us), Hemp saving the planet, sneaking out at 13 to go see a KORN show (big bro hook up), a sneak peak to a new machine to help process the Hemp Plant, the glory of "Catfish", her Mount Rushmore of Hemp Pioneers, Ecolution, Earth Goods, the music of Josh Hendrix, the importance of listening to the Universe when it is talking to you, what her favorite hemp product is, what is it like to grow up in Hemp factories, The Magic of Don Wirtshafter and the significance of understanding where the Hemp comes from along with several other fun topics...plus she tells all the fine folks out there how to get involved and allow HEMP to do its thing! She was a pleasure to have on the show and we hope you all enjoy the conversation as much as we did!

  • 20 Questions with Improv Black Belt, Alex Dickson
Big show tonight folks, we have some actual talent on the No Outlet Podcast! Our guest tonight is Improv Black Belt Alex Dickson! Being the huge Improv nerd that I am, having her on was a real treat for me. When I was taking online classes with UCB they would have us watch recorded Harold’s and other improv performances on You Tube and that is when I first saw her perform improv. Her effortless improv talent is equal parts impressive and intimidating. Making The Harold (or any improv) funny while appearing to be effortless is a true Jedi-Like improv skill that I am in awe of and our guest tonight certainly possesses it! In addition to being part of the Raaaatscraps improv team based in NYC she is also fresh off an appearance on “Last Week with John Oliver” and has dozens of other credits to her name. She was super nice and we discussed how aliens are much more likely to be real than the Loch Ness Monster (Squid?), how being a lantern fish could be Alien jail, the limited impact on our culture that Jersey Shore has had, we determine who is making all those warranty calls, the most annoying driving habit, finding your sense of humor through French Kissing, the lost genius of PEN15, The most important aspects of the "perfect" Harold, the unrelenting fortitude of of the 4th dentist, she learns about the evils of the Jeep Wave, liking sad things and the comedic genius of John Oliver among many other interesting topics. It was our pleasure to have her on and we hope you all enjoy the conversation as much as wed did!

  • 20 Questions with John G from Mark's Organix Medical Marijuana - 4/20 SPECIAL
Happy 420! As you all know, we are in the middle of a great re-awaking for one of the most beautiful, useful, and maligned plants in the history of our planet. I am talking (of course) about the Cannabis plant and our guest tonight is heavily involved in that re-awakening by helping to bring the majestic cannabis plant back to the acceptance and availability that it deserves. When I was raising a family, I did so in southern Maine…south Berwick to be exact and I drove up and down Route 236 and through Kittery A million times. And in all that time there was exactly ZERO  businesses that grew and/or sold cannabis and now…well now it is a booming Cannabis stronghold with well over a half dozen options for cannabis users & patients to choose from…its really exciting to see! At the forefront of that movement is Marks Organix, and we are very excited and appreciative to have the Manager of that dispensary John Gallagher on the show!
We talked about the factual reality of Interstellar beings, how he got into the Cannabis industry, the reason why Organic weed is the best weed (nature knows), all the various types of cannabis flower available to consumers, the genius of Sam Malpass of Badway Creative, their debut on the TV show "High Design" on @discovery+ (stream it now!), his Mt Rushmore of Stoner Movies, the best concert he has ever seen, the best music to listen to while selling organic cannabis (it's NOT death metal), why NH is so far behind with the legalization effort, how to ease into using edibles and his deserted island choices among many other fun topics...OH and he wants to put an end to the Jeep Wave so he is on the right side of that fight! He was a great guest and I hope you all enjoy the conversation as much as we did! Check them out at https://www.marksorganix.com/

  • 20 Questions with Emily the opera singer

Emily in the House! While this is not an official "First" as we have had an opera singer before, it was a special appearance because she is a special person! Emily and I met at a pre-covid Improv Class and then we had a few Zoom classes and were able to work together on the (now famous) Mystery Dinner Party at Arrowhead Estates where we helped to find Manny's stolen goods. Bottom line is that she is a Fun, Energetic person with a constantly full tank of energy and she is NEVER at a loss for words (which is so helpful!). We covered a lot of ground! We discussed the many many details of Opera voice types, the many (useless) opinions about said voice types, we go deep into Simulation theory probability (91% chance), the emotional/healing properties of music, we discuss CB radios being creepy (are they?), we review Geriatric Millennials vs Gen Zs vs Gen X, go to Karaoke songs, The Dating Jungle that is a Match.com new years eve party in NYC (swiping right IRL), how we need a time machine to introduce improv to first graders for better communication, using Ketamine therapeutically, Manny's Marbles and the difference between Facebook of 2006 and 2022 among many many other topics. She was a blast (as always) to have on the show and we hope you all enjoy the conversation as much as we did!

  • 20 Questions with Sydney Williams from Hiking My Feelings
What an amazing guest! As you all know, I have great respect for people who work on helping the greater good…the community of souls that we all represent. I also love the spirit of people that tackle things head on and when you add to that the facilitation of transformational healing with Nature as the backdrop...I’m in! Sydney Williams through her amazing organization, Hiking My Feelings, has hosted over 300 events around the United States, and they have grown a community that includes folks from all over the world…people from India, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Malaysia, Nigeria, Uganda, and Czechia just to name a few. It's truly an incredible story and I highly encourage you all to check it out.
We talked about being married to Greg Brady, hiding the fact she is an interdimensional being, the greatest National Park, the importance of hugging trees, the unappreciated Salmon Berry, we uncover the truth about the dangerous 4th dentist, the reality of UFOs (they're real), the staggering number of Americans living with diabetes, the genius of Banksy, the truly shocking fact that Grey's Anatomy has been on for 18 years! (what?), we stand united against Pat Sajack, her 700 ski dives (Greg Brady has 8000!) including the treacherous jump #13 (need to listen!), hashed out the fat suit for skinny actors debate and undeniable power of manifestation among many other important topics. • 20 Questions with Michael Hartney, founder of The Squirrel Comedy Theatre

Actual talent on the No Outlet Podcast! In fact, I am going to go out on a sturdy limb and state that tonight’s guest is the MOST TALENTED person we have ever had on the show and that is saying something. Our guest has been part of a Broadway production, has been in Movies, TV shows, was the Artistic director of UCB NYC, is the creator and host of “Characters Welcome” an AMAZING YouTube channel, he also is the Founder of the Squirrel Comedy Theatre…I could go on and on, but I think that I have made my point. You will not be surprised (being the improv nerds that we are) to hear that we a huge fans of this guy, and were really excited to have him on the show!

We talked about the best Harold Team ever*, the art of Face Calibration (and correlating skill enhancements), the importance of Pippen (not Scottie), a few things we have in common, finally making Karaoke an Olympic event and picking the perfect song, developing a sense of humor with Leslie Nielson, finding the right alchemy when forming world class Improv teams, aggressive (sounding) foreign languages, the age old choice between Alcohol and Caffeine and when not to comment on an extremely overdone cultural moment along with may other super important topics.

We had a great time and hope you all enjoyed the conversation as much as we did! Check out Michael in all his endeavors...you can see him perform at the Squirrel Comedy Theatre https://www.thesquirrelnyc.com/ with his Improv team Borabish and, of course, check out Characters Welcome on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CharactersWelcome. • 20 Questions with Andrew DeAngelo from the Last Prisoner Project
Andrew DeAngelo is in the house! As all of you good people know, we are in the middle of a great re-awakening for one of the most beautiful, useful, and maligned plants in the history of the planet. I am talking, of course, about the Cannabis plant and our recent guest is a true warrior in the fight to bring the majestic plant back to the acceptance, use and availability that it deserves. Not only is he making a difference on a go forward, but he has been righting the egregious wrongs of people being incarcerated for simply enjoying mother nature. We talked about his favorite strains, the state of the Legal Cannabis industry in CA, the noble efforts of the @lastprisonerproject, how NFL players should be allowed to use cannabis without any punitive actions, the perfect dosage for edibles (what is it?), our shared fond memories of the early 90s Hemp movement, UFOs and the unmistakable link between music and cannabis among many other topics (he also gives a few free Pro Tips!) It was a pleasure to have him on the show and I hope you all enjoyed the conversation as much as we did!
