How's everyone doing with their New Year's resolutions? Chase and Tyler are jazzed up by all the goal setting this time of year, but can these resolutions actually change your life? Why does a new year motivate people? Is it more valuable to look back or look forward? Is "new year, new me" impossible? What about having a "word of the year"?
Also, Tyler learns about butterflies, and Chase says the wisest thing Tyler's ever heard.

Tyler puts Chase on the spot with his brand new No Right To Ask song! Chase listens to it for the first time and shares his reaction. Chase and Tyler breakdown the songwriting process and discuss musical influences, lyrical content, and all the reasons this song might hit different.

No Right To Cast is back with the biggest episode to date! Chase and Tyler invite their significant others on the pod to discuss relationships. Specifically, they want to know if opposites really do attract. If they do, is it bad if two similar people are dating? What's the advantage of being different? Is it redundant to be the same? Is it harder to understand someone who is the opposite of you? Does everyone need someone to balance them out?
Also, Chase rates Ellen's cooking as a 5 out of 10, and Taylor and Tyler cry a lot.

'Tis the season! Ellen joins the pod for an epic Christmas Tradition Draft! What makes your Christmas a "real" Christmas? The food, the gifts, the decorations, the church service? Why does Santa come down the chimney? What is "Boxmas"? Would you prefer a cozy or systematic Christmas? Is a deconstructed grilled cheese critical to Christmas?
Also, Chase buys gifts for everyone but his wife, Tyler is obsessed with cookies, and Ellen is way too specific.
*Parents, we might spoil the magic of Christmas if your children listen to this episode.

Tyler puts Chase on the spot with the question: What is the most annoying part of Christmas? Does it put you on the naughty list to be annoyed by Christmas? Can you be too busy to enjoy the season? Is Christmas music obnoxious? Are the claymation movies actually terrible?
Also, Tyler hangs out at Macy's too much, and Chase is afraid to open his front door.

Traditions are great, right? Christmas traditions, family traditions, church, college football, this podcast - the list goes on. But are some traditions actually harmful? Chase and Tyler discuss what types of traditions might be harmful and why. Do traditions hinder progress? Are traditions just plain weird? Do traditions excuse bad past behavior? Do traditions prevent you from enjoying the present?
Also, Chase gives a lesson about Japan's housing market, and Tyler discovers gravity.

Chase puts Tyler on the spot with a question you really shouldn't ask your best friend: "Do you think you're better than me?" How do you even measure that? Is there any value in comparing yourself to others? What if you value different things? Do more people have high self-esteem or low self-esteem? When does self-confidence become arrogant?
Also, Tyler is philosophically better than Chase, but Chase has a house so...

Chase and Tyler are stressed, which of course means they have questions. Is stress not always bad? In fact, is it actually a super power? Does stress bring out the best in a person? Or does it cause diseases to get worse? Does urgency make someone more efficient? Why do we hate stress so much?
Also, Chase recently got a tetanus shot, and Tyler writes high quality papers.

Chase tries to ruin the friendship yet again by putting Tyler on the spot: "If I died, would you continue the podcast?" Whose podcast is this anyway? Who would the replacement hosts be? We also follow-up on the Celebrity Death episode because Chase wants people to know he's not actually heartless.
Also, "our podcast could sound a lot worse".

Turns out, everyone dies, even famous people. Chase and Tyler are wondering if we should even bother offering up our "T's and P's" for dead celebrities. Should we be sad when a famous person dies? Is it just a social media trend? Does it remind us of our own insecurities and fears? Are celebrities part of who we are? Are we sad for their families? Does age matter?
Also Chase is statistically not bothered by death, and Tyler cried once.
