Becoming a fan can happen to us in many ways be it from parental indoctrination, peer pressure from friends, the general fascination with the freaks of nature that are professional athletes, or even by moving to a new country/city that has a professional basketball team with cheap season tickets. We went half way around the world (well he came half way around the world to us) for this episode's guest, Jim Curlewis, who shares his story on becoming a fan of basketball and more in the ole Outback (Melbourne, Australia) & how such fandom transcended international boarders.

The football season is over for some of our favorite local teams, but that doesn't mean we don't have anything to look forward to in the future! LSU & Tulane close out their seasons strong with plenty of optimism going into next year, the Saints (in typical Saints fashion) disappointed their fanbase while struggling to stay healthy, and the Pelicans deliver some much needed hope to a city that could always use some extra.

Despite our best efforts fantasy football remains unpredictable, but then again so to is life in general. Joel & Bryan try to wrap up their fantasy seasons while respectfully discussing the unprecedented events of fantasy championships/finals being put on hold after a minor on-field death and the (justifiably) postponed Week 17 game. Is this really the end of the fantasy season? Only you can decide!

With the fantasy season finale in sight, the boys of NO Sports kickback while their woes and worries are sent drifting in the wind. So with nothing prepared, Joel & Bryan have an open and free chat about their sealed fates in the playoffs (for better or worse (Bryan made it to at least 1 championship!)) as well as make plans for the end (next week's episode (the FINAL episode)).

After an injury filled weekend Joel & Bryan wind down the regular season chatter & scope out any possible final waiver moves before giving up and praying to the fantasy gods for bench player mercy all while making their final pleas for team success in the leagues they're in that have a chance to make the playoffs.

Bryan's record drops below .500 as Joel continues to ascend, just in time for the upcoming playoffs. At least the Saints & Pelicans had a good weekend because as the fantasy regular season quickly approaches its end, the boys take some time to reflect on what they did right and what backfired completely (damn you, Keenan Allen!).
