Our apologies for the free dive cliffhanger that we left you off on from the last episode. In Part 2 of the "Co-Host on the Run" episode we return to hear the second half of MIA heathen Ryan, who by this point in the story is not only completely fed up with Drug Court in general, but also picking apart any means to get away with using while still enrolled in the ADC program. Ryan details his logic and tactics behind using, the result of his debauchery and finally his decisions that led him to go into hiding and running from the law. Unc makes additional commentary on his experience with the court ordered drug program as well as articulate a sincere attempt at making amends to Ryan for negatively influencing him to use on that faithful day. We also apologize in advance for Unc's insidious and relentless vaping. This recording was done almost 3 years ago and he had not the experience to comprehend the absolute gain power that his Blue Yeti Pro microphone contained.
This has been a long wait coming for you my Brethren & Cestren of the Squad. Unc has mentioned this infamous episode many a times in podcast episodes gone by but never before have we here had the courage to release it. The episode mentioned is the "Co-Host on the Run" episode. Recorded well over 2 years ago, this one dates back to when Unc and Ryan were still facing their Drug Court encounter. Ryan had relapsed and gone on the run from the program and seeking seclusion in a hidden undisclosed location. Unc & Ryan talk over the phone discussing their issues with the ADC program as well as what events lead to their relapses and Ryan to run from the law. With a warrant out for his arrest and drugs coursing through his veins, Ryan articulately details his life leading up to that point. This one has MAJOR trigger warnings as Ryan is using throughout this phone interview so Squadron please proceed with extreme caution. Stay safe while listening please & as always: Peace, Love & All the Above.
Once again, Unc digs deep in the vaults to extract another older recording from his days in drug court. Special guest and best friend John comes on to tell his tale concerning his upbringing, his prone to violence as well as his experimentation with drugs. He also discusses how he's preparing to turn himself into the court system for sentencing and what his fears are concerning his near coming prison situation.
In this very old recording, special guest and Drug Court finatical friend of Unc, Scott comes on the podcast to talk about what life has been like in Drug Court since Unc's graduation from the program. He also tells a few tales of what kind of mischief led him back into the judicial system, how he used to live while homeless and what life is like for him now. There's a lot of back and forth sharing old war stories on this one and unfortunately Unc censores out his most debaucherous tale to date to save for another time but still there is much fun to be had on this hilarious episode of Nod Squad.
In this episode of Nod Squad we have special guest Phillip from the Psychotropic Podcast on to discuss his upbringing with his drug experimentation / experiences, what caused him to slow down his usage, and how he manages today. Phillip also explains what its like to work within the Cannabis Industry in Washington state and briefly details how and what inspired him to create his podcast Psychotropic. We "Highly" recommend to anyone out there in our beloved squadron who enjoys what we do to also check out the Psychotropic Podcast as its content is extremely entertaining, intriguing & fascinating. Also, in the next coming weeks there will be a special episode of Psychotropic (https://psychotropic.podbean.com/) with Unc coming on to tell his downward spiral of a story that we can't wait for you all to listen to when released.
Greeting again Brethren & Cestren of our beloved Squadron. Unc returns to read our first ever fan email from Troy who voices his concerns over the possibility of Nod Squad heading into "Preachy Recovery' territory as well as telling an amazing story involving IV meth use, winning a jackpot at a casino, destroying two vehicles and purchasing them all in return. Unc gives feedback on the topic at hand, reassures Troy as well as anyone listening that Nod Squad will continue to remain raw in content and tells the tale of the discharched mortar and exploding mailbox. Hope you are all safe and having a wonderful week and as always; Peace, Love & All the above.
Greetings Squadron. On this 4th of July weekend Unc takes a weekend pass to venture back up north to his old stomping ground in order to knock out a few new episodes as well as do mix downs on some older recordings so our beloved brethren & cestren can be regularly brought weekly content until his next pass is approved. Marcus joins the studio to make yet another appearance and hear firsthand on Unc's frustrations with rehab, spilled bang energy drinks and his Step 9 amends. Unc also tells the tale of being stranded out in Perfumo Canyon with his rag tag band of friends, high on morphine and immersed in a valley of poison oak. All this and more in this hilarious episode of Nod Squad
Greetings Brethren & Cestren, our apologies yet again for the delay. Unc records for the first time within rehab confines and discusses what has been going on with his life, what its like living at an inpatient treatment facility, tells tales of hiding a secret cell phone, getting caught with said cell phone, tolerating snitches, and his first ever church experience. Special guest and fellow rehab resident Henry the humble accompanies Unc while he shares his last at home detox story and Henry tells the tale of the lost buried in the sand stash of tar; all on the latest ghetto recorded episode of Nod Squad
This is a special day for Nod Squad as Unc on this very day celebrates 60 days of sobriety & 60 days of survival inside the inpatient treatment facility he willingly checked himself into. It hasn't been easy managing a podcast from within the confines that a rehab erects & protects around our beloved co-host but we love you all Squadron and are always excited to bring you consistent content. In this older "pre-treatment" recording, Unc rants solo style and shares his experience concerning his stay at the downtown Los Angeles County Jail (also known to locals as the Twin Tower). Basic politics, code of conduct, and regular inmate routine is briefly discussed as well as the various kinds of Macgyver themed methods many resort to in order to alleviate the overall unpleasantness one goes through when being processed, locked into a cage & dehumanized altogether. Many various stories of drug smuggling & drug ingesting ensues as well as the time Unc was elected not only right hand man of "The Woods" but also 1/3 part of the "Bu-Bop" Squad in this ridiculously hilarious episode of Nod Squad.
