Cecil Taylor is continued to be discussed in this episode. Restructuring the Unit Structures is the quote of the episode. Cecil Taylor designed his systematic approach is dating as early as his very first recording times, 1957. So written music or playing by ear is discussed giving examples of his compositions.

A.B.Spellman’s “Four Jazz Lives” is quoted on Cecil Taylor’s jump to free territories. Improvisation in music, education’s avoidance of improvisation is mentioned.

Cecil Taylor is continued to be discussed in this episode. In 1966, Cecil Taylor announced his structural form is called Unit Structures, hence his album’s title. His all music performances are organised in the structural form of this Unit Structures. According to his liner notes in the album mentioned is the source to understand and analyse the music. Thanks to Ekkehard Jost who wrote the book “Free Jazz” where he analysed the music in the album so that we all (in fact the critics as well)  understand what is going on in the pieces.

Cecil Taylor’s style and technic are being elaborated. His approach to improvisation has concrete references in composed music.

Robert Reigle joins to be one of the hosts of the Radio show. At this episode Cecil Taylor is started to be discussed. First period from 1956 to 1962, his style coming from the Jazz tradition and his studies in New England Conservatoire as well as his involvement in the music clubs is presented. Thus, political economy of the music is started to be discussed.  The condition of the artists who does not make any money through his art and his/her struggle against the system, trying to survive. Also although his free music precedes the music of Ornette Coleman, Cecil is not acknowledged being the founder but Ornette Coleman. This is emphasized. Albert Ayler’s meeting with Cecil Taylor is mentioned and the importance of meeting of these two giants are presented.

Noise and Smoke remembers one of the human treasures Milford Graves. He is briefly introduced and his approach to create music, his philosophy, his conditions are discussed. There are a few quotes from the 2018 film of Jake Maginsky’s “Milford Graves Full Mantis”, so in his own voice we hear Milford Graves. This episode is in Turkish whereas we hear Graves of course in his mother tongue.
