Issue 8!

It's the inaugural episode of "Frankly Friends!" Nick sits down with his good friend, Scott, for the first time on the show to talk about a piece of work from the infinitely talented and infinitely fascinating Frank Miller. 

Scott is a Frank fan. Nick is a Frank fan. But they haven't read a lot of the same Frank comics. This is the beginning of a journey to rectify that as they dive into Miller's redefining origin for Daredevil in "The Man Without Fear". 

It's Frank Miller. It's John Romita Jr. It's the 1990's. Let's see if this updated origin for old Hornhead stacks up to Miller's already seminal run on the character from years before!

On this episode we talk about the critically acclaimed Green Lantern Earth One Vol. 1 by Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman! It's a reinvention of the classic Green Lantern mythos done in a standalone graphic novel.

Issue 5!

Sometimes you have to branch out and try new things... like when famed actor, Danny DeVito, wrote a comic for DC!

In this episode, Aleighnna returns to talk with Nick about the opening story from one of DC Comics' most recent anthology books, "Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant"! It's a Penguin story that happens to be written by the actor who portrayed the character, Danny DeVito! Accompanied by the truly stellar art team of Dan Mora (Art) and Tamra Bonvillain (Colors), this is one of the most memorable and perplexing things to come out of a major comic book publishing company in a while... and it manages to do so in only 12 pages.

The Returning Wrath of Ravenscroft! Max returns for the first time to talk with Nick about a book that has redefined what DC Comics Elseworlds style stories can be... Batman: White Knight by the supremely talented Sean Gordon Murphy!

Love different takes on Batman? Love Batman Cartoons? Batman Movies? Batman everything?! Sean Gordon Murphy certainly does. And we love him for it.

Issue 3!

First appearance of Aleighnna (Non-cameo, first podcast appearance)! She joins Nick for the first time to talk about gore, horror, sci-fi, gross Minotaurs, and whether or not ancient Greeks were using curse words like us back in 1500 BC. 

All that and more can be found in "Kill The Minotaur", a 2017 mini-series created and written by Chris Pasetto and Christian Cantamessa (known for their work on Red Dead Redemption) and drawn by the fantastic Lukas Ketner! 

Now, we all know Nick can't pronounce creator's names correctly... so let's hear him butcher some Greek names!

Brett makes his SHOCKING debut this episode to talk with Nick about Alan Moore's "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" Volume 1!
