We have a new, shorter version of the podcast called Nonsensory Nuggets, where we tackle one subject or news event every day and drop it to you all in a more digestible nugget. Hence the name, Nonsensory Nuggets!

Today we're talking about how Astro's Playroom is a pack-in game for the PS5 meant to show off the new DualSense controller, and how meaningful it is to have a pack-in game with a new console. We also take another unnecessary swipe at Goodbye Volcano High.   Let us know your thoughts on the new format in the comments, and tell us what you think of the DualSense and Astro's Playroom.

On today's episode, Microsoft announces an official date for their upcoming first party showcase, but is Sony looking to steal their thunder with a big announcement of their own? Investments! Investments galore as both Microsoft and Tencent are interested in acquiring even more studios, while Sony seems to be getting even more involved with Epic by the week. Naughy Dog looks to already be moving on to their next project after The Last of Us 2, but are currently mired in a cesspool of gamer harassment and abuse. Finally, after moving passed all the failed attempts at reviving Half Life with Half Life Alyx, the folks at Valve seem eager to make a proper, non VR version. Could this be the Half Life 3 we’ve waited for all these years!?

On today's episode we go over what Microsoft’s All Access subscription program, and its recent partnership with Facebook Gaming after the shuddering of Mixer, could mean for Xbox Series X and XCloud respectively. The Last of Us Part II is Sony’s fastest selling exclusive to date, but recent comments by a former Sony exec have us questioning such massive, big budget projects moving forward. Finally, the recent ban of Guy “Dr Disrespect” Behm and several others on Twitch has us debating freedom of speech in today's ever expanding digital world. All that and more, so lets get into it!

We dedicate this episode to the memory of George Floyd, and to those fighting inequality, discrimination, racism, and police brutality. We have dedicated our Nonsensory Recommends segment to the celebration of black voices in entertainment.

There's also some gaming news in there, too.

Get out and mobilize, protest, and vote, to try and fix the racial divide in the United States. We love you all. Celebrate black voices, hold them up and amplify them, and more importantly LISTEN.
