Andrae Murphy, who was introduced as the new head coach of Dean College football earlier this year, joined Matt Noonan to discuss his upcoming season with the Bulldogs. The two discuss a variety of topics from establishing a new culture this fall to seeking out mentors and more. 

Murphy is a Dean alum -- he played for the program from 2005-07 when the Bulldogs were a Junior College -- and has prior coaching experience at other levels, including high school, FCS, and Division III. He most recently coached the defensive backs at Columbia University and was an integral part in helping the Lions amass 14 victories in a span of two years, which was the school’s highest win total in consecutive years since 1961 and 1962.

Jack Betts, who plays wide receiver at Amherst College, joined Matt Noonan for an interesting podcast discussion about Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). 

Betts discussed his interested in NIL, including signing his first deal earlier this year to how he seeks out opportunities with brands and companies. He also discussed his experience at the NIL Summit earlier this month to conversations he has had with other NCAA Division III student-athletes that are interesting in joining this space. 

Amherst coach E.J. Mills also joined the podcast briefly to share his view on NIL, especially in the D-III college sports world.

Matt Noonan (host/producer) is back for a solo podcast to discuss a few football topics, including his NFL divisional rankings for the AFC North and South (he began his positional rankings last week with the AFC East).  

But before Noonan unveils his quarterback rankings, he begins the podcast with an update on what listeners should expect going forward. We will produce solo and guest shows, as well as discuss some non-sports topics like we had earlier this year with a few coaches (0:45).
