Well, sometimes they get classified as cases of mass hysteria and we're going to talk about some of the strangest instances of this happening. Please tell us which one is the creepiest for you and if you think meowing nuns is as terrifying as Alexa feels it is. Or are you team Ella and just think it's hilarious?

News anchor Jodi Huisentruit left in a hurry for work on the morning of June 27, 1995 after being woken up by her producer telling her that she was late for work. She never made it to work that day and we still have no idea what happened to her. We're going to go over the timeline, crime scene, and people of interests at the time or since. If you get hooked and want more please check out the Find Jodi podcast wherever you like to listen to podcasts. This is still an ongoing case and anyone who may know something about Jodi's disappearance is asked to call the Mason City Police Dept. at 641-421-3636.

You know how we all hate an empty hospital? You know that eerie dread that comes from the steady beeping and clip clop of footsteps in a hospital hallway? Why is that? We have a lot of ideas but we can all agree that nurses and doctors tend to have some of the creepiest stories of a touch with the paranormal.

Do you have some too???

TRIGGER WARNING This episode is talking about the evil and horrors that is the history of Pennhurst School and Hospital. We'll be talking about direct quotes from the staff about how they looked at and treated their patients with mental and physical disabilities throughout the history. We'll cover the evidence from both "Suffer the Little Children" news series from 1968 and the court case in 1977 to discuss only some of the cruelty that occurred here. It's not a fun episode, it has teeth things and and gross details about the way the hospital was operating and leaving their patients in. We felt it was important to cover all cases, especially for people who typically don't get the same space to tell their stories, but we acknowledge that this episode may not be for everyone.

If you want to read more about the fact or more of the evidence brought forward against the hospital in the trial you can go through my works cited below.

She may or may not have bathed in bathtubs of blood, she may or may not have been a vampire, and Anna may or definitely not died in the way she deserved. What we can say for sure about this historic lady is that 1. she's a monster, 2. no one should let teenagers control large masses of land that other people live on, and 3. people really knew how to make nicknames back then.

Curious? Well you'll just have to listen in ghosts and ghouls.

Sorry it's late :( were figuring out a new recording and upload schedule now that Alexa has a new job. Thank you for your patience <3

If you hear a whistle in the night, safe to say that something bad is the source. At least that's a way to keep yourself safe, probably. This episode we are talking about El Silbon, which means The Whistler, as well as superstitions around whistling in general. Ella also throws a fit because she HATES whistling even though she continues to tease Alexa because she can't do it. Have you heard of this? Time to find out.

Hughbert (I don't care if it's spelled wrong because this man is awful) existed in history. He has become famous as one of the world earliest and deadliest serial killers and he liked to do his gruesome acts in what he called a Castle (it is not, don't be fooled) Want to know more? Well, you're just going to have to listen and find out.

Do you ever read something and just know you were meant to be together? That's us on this episode, no seriously. We freaking fell in love with this legend and are deeply saddened that we got the watered down American version of the Dullahan with the Headless Horseman. To be fair, it's all great and the HH is stunning but can't hold a candle to the OG <3 We're kidding (kinda) but yes the Dullahan is the legend behind the story of Sleepy Hallow and the Headless Horseman so we're looking into what it's supposed to be and other places that have similar legends.

Hey Aussie babes! Why didn't you tell us about this one? It's wild and we need answers. Melissa Caddick went missing in November of 2020, the day after her home was raided by the government for possible fraud. Where did she go? Is she hiding? Where's all the missing money? To make it worse, three months later a single running shoe washed on shore with her foot in it (ew) and so we have only more questions. Please let us know if you have anything else that we weren't able to already find. xoxo Nope girls

If you didn't know already, we love Scream, especially Alexa. It might be her favorite scary movie (keep that in mind if you get a scary phone call in the middle of the night while you're Drew Barrymore popping popcorn) so of course we ran out to see the new one. We tried our darnedness to keep out the spoilers and I think we succeeded? Let us know if you've seen the movie and what you thought about it too!
