Jackson Holliday and Kyle Stowers hit solo homers in the eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie leading the Norfolk Tides past the Durham Bulls 3-2 in the series opener at Harbor Park.

Enmanuel Mejia surrendered two home runs in an inning for his second consecutive outing.

Curtis Mead went 3-5 with two RBI to lead the Bulls.  Tyler Alexander threw seven innings, allowing one run and fanning six.
