The beauty of the new creation is beyond our imagination. But even better than that is how God will make His children new. Walk with us through how this "Story" will never end.

Directly after the first sin and the fall of mankind, God initiated His rescue plan. This sermon explains the good news of God's rescue of His people and how it flows throughout the pages of Scripture. What grace is found in the rescue of sinners through the sacrifice of Jesus!

Sadly this beautiful story takes a dark turn very quickly. Sin enters the world and destroys the harmony that once existed between mankind, creation, and God--which is the reason we have such strife and pain now. Is there any hope?

All of history is "His story," this God that we worship. He is the main character, and it is the narrative of how He comes to rescue and restore His people and His creation from sin. This is the beginning of this story.

As we close out our series through Daniel, we see where our confidence as believers comes--through Christ's resurrection. We have a living hope that one day all will be made right, and as we wait until then we live out of our new identity in Christ Jesus.

As we have seen throughout the book of Daniel, in spite of the chaos around us God is still in control. And vindication is coming for God's people as He raises all people--some to eternal life and some to eternal suffering. That life is found in Christ alone, so give your life to Him and live your life for Him.

Spiritual warfare is alive and well behind the scenes of our world. We may deny it or try to explain it away, but as the Lord showed Daniel, the conflict we see in our world is a direct result of evil forces trying to derail God's work. Listen to see how we are to fight while still in this battlefield.

As Daniel looks into God's Word, he is struck by how his people's dilemma is directly tied to their rebellion against God. So he prays a prayer of repentance, responding to God and crying out for mercy. We can (and should) emulate this kind of prayer regularly.

Not only can we trust that the Lord will win in the end, we can also trust that He will be with us in the moments of suffering and trial. He might relieve our suffering now, since He is a God of justice, but His presence will be enough to sustain us. Though this chapter is more historical, it still encourages us to stand firm today.

As the book of Daniel shifts to more future-oriented, it gets confusing as well. How do the crazy images and visions still give us confidence to stand firm in the midst of a fallen world? Because they point us to the glorious Ancient of Days and the reigning Son of Man. This sermon gives us a picture of how God's glory overcomes the evil one.
