Uncompromising faith means obeying God above all else--no matter the cost. Daniel did and got to see God deliver him from the lions' den. We can risk it all as well because we have a Savior who won the victory over sin and death. When we radically obey God's commands, He will always receive glory.

Unlike King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4, who was restored when he humbled himself before the Lord, watch what God does with King Belshazzar when he doesn't humble himself. Let this be a lesson to us today, to turn to the One who tips the scales for us--before it's too late. But also find encouragement that God works through our faithfulness in His time and in His way.

"Pride goes before a fall," we often hear said. It's actually true. God will humble those who exalt themselves--either now or surely later. But He also promises to exalt those who humble themselves--possibly now but surely later. Learn from King Nebuchadnezzar's testimony of how pride destroys and humility restores.

The uncompromising faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego put their lives at risk but also showed off the glory of God in huge ways--whether they lived or died. The testing of our faith is before us every day--will we bow to the idols of this world or to the King of the universe?

Only the wisdom of God can reveal the mysteries of life--whether for Daniel to save many lives by interpreting the king's dream, or for us today to navigate a confusing and troubled world. God is wisdom and wisdom comes from God, so we must seek Christ to gain that wisdom.

With Judah in exile in Babylon, Daniel and his three friends face an uncertain future within a pagan nation. How are they to respond? And which pieces of this story translate to today, to help us respond to a world that is antithetical to our faith in many ways? We must consider context and historical setting in order to rightly apply this book to our lives.

Unless God moves with special, supernatural grace and power, all that we do as a church is pointless. Apart from Him we can do nothing. The way we express that dependence on Him is through praying first and praying continually--for people to be saved, for spiritual battles to be won, and for peace to be given. Lowly shepherds. An unexpected group whom God chose to send an army of angels to announce the birth of Jesus. But it's also what the angels said that matters. The point of the announcement is to glorify the Lord Jesus. This sermon studies the message and the shepherds' response--as well as what our response should be.

Why can we trust that Jesus is the Messiah Savior King? One reason is fulfilled prophecy. This sermon examines four distinct prophecies fulfilled in Jesus, out of Matthew 2. The challenge to us is to find our fulfillment in Jesus like the wise men did.

Joseph is touched by an angel, to give him insight into this miraculous Messiah event. Contrary to what he may have assumed, this baby Jesus is utterly unique. Jesus is also unique for us today, as the One who saves and the One who dwells with us. This sermon explains how.
