We're nearing the end of Act II, which means we've got to check in with the last of our crew to see what they're up to. Anders is getting paranoid about the Templars, Varric has an update on Bartrand's whereabouts...and Sebastian is here too, I guess.

We talk about how Varric's story can be changed entirely by the presence of one party member, Sebastian doesn't fuck, and how Anders is quietly making the play for the actual protagonist of Dragon Age II.

We've got the gold to fund the expedition. It's time to head into the Deep Roads.

This week, Hawke is about to ascend to nobility by way of cold, hard cash. But not before we make a decision about the fate of our remaining sibling, and one outcome is definitely preferable to others.

Hawke's crew could always use a little more drama, so this week we're picking up Fenris and Isabela.

After a year in Kirkwall, it's time for us to start...actually doing anything of consequence in here. This week we look for a Grey Warden who can help us navigate the Deep Roads and find two familiar faces occupying one face.

Then we meet Merrill on our way to fulfill our promise to Flemeth, where we end up undermining our own character with another.

Finally, we wrap things up by giving our siblings something to fight for.

We're Kirkwall bound as we finally reach the wonders of Dragon Age II.

This week we shift over to the perspective of Hawke, the Champion of Kirkwall. While we know one day this character will become well-regarded, right now they're attempting to outrun the Blight and they lose a sibling along the way. But they're not particularly broken up about it, though.

Also this week we talk about the major improvements Dragon Age II brings to the dialogue systems of both DA and Mass Effect, how it makes companion relationships more nuanced than probably any other Bioware game, and even make some comparisons to the imagery of Parasite.
