God promises in Romans chapter 8 that not even death can separate us from His love. Because that is true, the love of God must be incredible! In today's message, Pastor Phil encourages us that God's love is greater than we can comprehend--and for those of us who know Jesus Christ, that love can never be ended or taken away. Our salvation is secure in Christ.

What does it mean to be more than a conqueror? In Christ, our victory is already accomplished. In today's message, Pastor Phil studies the promises of Romans 8:31-34. There is no condemnation for those in Christ, and if God is for us, no one can be against us.

In Romans 8:28, the Bible promises us that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. In today's message, Pastor Phil explores the comfort provided by this promise.

Because of sin, all of creation suffers in futility. In today's message, Bruce Kalish studies Romans 8 and shows us how the world is subject to futility, and that our only hope in the face of futility is God, through faith in Christ. So, we can recognize the pain of this world, and grieve in the midst of that pain. Yet, because of our hope in God, we can and should live in expectation of God's coming kingdom.

On Easter Sunday, we remember that Christ has risen and conquered death. In today's sermon, Pastor Phil shows from Romans 8 the blessings of being loved, chosen and adopted by God. The cross shows that God loved us even while we were sinners (Romans 5:8). The resurrection of Christ shows that Jesus has overcome the world, and that even as we know we will suffer in this world, we can take heart (John 16:33). And having been adopted into God's family, we have received the Spirit of adoption, so that we are no longer slaves to fear, but we can cry out, "Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15)

In Romans 8:5-13, God's word speaks to the obligation we have to God to live a new life according to the Spirit. In today's message, Pastor Phil explores how achieving victory over persistent sin in our lives is possible when we live in relationship with God.

In Romans 8, God's word assures those of us who believe in Jesus Christ that there is now no condemnation. In today's message, Pastor John explores the analogies used in the first four verses of this chapter: once slaves to sin, we are now free. Once indebted and stained by sin, the sacrifice has been made on our behalf. Once condemned by sin, all charges against us have been cleared, and God sees us with the righteousness of Christ. This is our identity in Jesus.

As we conclude our sermon series in the book of Colossians, Pastor Phil examines Paul's final instructions to the church. Paul's prayer request, even in the midst of prison, was that he would have the opportunity and the boldness to preach the gospel. Paul's example encourages us to submit our own lives to God's sovereign will, and God's word instructs us to be devoted to prayer.

At the end of Colossians chapter 3, we are instructed on how to obey God and display His love in the way we live in our households--specifically within the relationships of husbands and wives as well as children and parents. In today's message, Pastor Phil expresses how these relationships should be grounded in the love of Christ, and explores an aspect of Biblical family living which immediate reveals one of our own cultural sensitivities: the command for wives to submit to their husbands.

It can be easy to forget how unexpected it was in the times of the early church when God called together people from all walks of life to join together as one. Yet that remains the reality of the church today--in Christ, we are one body, though we come together with many backgrounds, nationalities, experiences and trials. So then, how do we get along with one another in unity? In today's message, Pastor John studies Colossians 3, where God's word instructs us how to be unified in fellowship with one another by taking off those things which will cause division, and putting on those virtues which accord with love and with peace.
