The Christmas message comes to a world where pride, self-seeking and self-exaltation exist. In this world where one trumps another to get to the top, Luke 1 shows us that the way up is actually down. In her song, popularly known as the Magnificat, Mary shows us that it is the humble and lowly who truly are the blessed ones, and it is in this same manner that the Messiah is revealed to a dying world, as a humble servant!
