Delivered on Sunday morning, July 12, 2015, 10:30AM, at Northcrest Baptist Church, 3412 N Hills Street, Meridian, MS by special guest Dr. Rob Futral. This was the fifth of our Love Out Loud 2015 sermons.
Rob was born in Texas, and grew up in different places in Mississippi and Texas. His family came to the Jackson area when his dad became pastor of Broadmoor in 1985. Rob graduated from Madison-Ridgeland High School, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from Mississippi College. He earned his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages and his Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament and Greek from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Rob served churches in Louisiana and Mississippi before returning to Broadmoor Baptist Church, where he has served as pastor since September 2003. Other ministry experiences include speaking at various events and organizations, teaching as a contract professor for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and involvement in International mission opportunities in Mexico, England, Russia, Kazakhstan, Honduras, Nicaragua, Canada, Togo (West Africa), Ukraine, Southeast Asia, and Haiti. Rob also recently wrote his first book, The Greatest Week in History, a study of Luke’s account of the Passion Week.
