I. Eunice PLANTER her FAITH
II. Eunice TAUGHT her FAITH
III. Eunice LIVED her FAITH
On Sunday, May 31, 2015, we were honored to have Dr. Frank S. Page, President and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee to preach in both of our morning worship services at Northcrest. Dr. Page continued with the Family in Focus theme that Dr. Dan Lanier was preaching.
Here is Dr. Page's bio as listed on his website http://frankpage.org :
I currently serve as president and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee. I view my role of CEO as “chief encouraging officer.” I want to encourage Baptists everywhere to participate in our shared task of reaching men, women, and children with the life-changing message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
My dear wife Dayle and I served together in pastoral ministry for 35 years. Our first church was in Texas; our last pastorate was at First Baptist Church, Taylors, South Carolina. We have three daughters, one of whom preceded us to heaven, and four grandsons. They are the light of our lives and the joy of our hearts.
My greatest passions in life are telling others about Jesus, spending time with family, serving others in the Name of Jesus, and preaching the Word. People often tease me about my large number of favorite scripture verses and favorite songs. The Word of God is so marvelous. It is inexhaustible. And it is energizing.
I start each day with a reading from Scripture and prayer. Each day’s reading is “health to your body and nourishment to your bones” (Proverbs 3:8). I urge you, too, to fill your heart and mind with His Word. As David reminds us in Psalm 19, the Law of the Lord revives the soul, makes wise the simple, gives joy to the heart, and gives light to the eyes.
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8) This is my favorite!!!
