Jesus' ascension into heaven was either a convenient story or a significant event. As the Apostle Paul tried to show some 1st century Christians exactly what Christ gave them, he showed why it's so important to see the ascension as a significant event.

At times everyone feels the burden of not being the person they want to be. That burden is lifted when you look at how Jesus became someone he was not.

We think of God as being big and powerful and mighty. In response, many have a relationship with God filled with feelings of fear and inadequacy. Many find themselves walking on eggshells hoping not to make their BIG God angry. While it's true that God is big and powerful and mighty, fear does not need to define your relationship with him.

There is power in belief, but that power is limited by what you believe in.

One of the most powerful emotions that a person could possess is "thankful." The problem is that the stresses and worries of life can so often make "thankful" difficult to feel. Find how to get more "thankful" in our lives no matter who you are or what your circumstances might be.

The word “repent” is intimidating to some and controversial to others. But when you peel back the layers and see what repentance is supposed to be all about, you discover that it is more about an invitation than a threat.

Once Nehemiah’s work of reconstructing the walls of Jerusalem was finished, a more pressing matter took his attention. What good were those walls if no life existed within the city? This weekend we'll see how he guided the people of Jerusalem to a spiritual revival in four steps, and those four steps still give life to Christ’s church today.
