Race isn’t as important as we make it out out to be.  If you’re black or white, Hispanic or Asian, you’re primary identity should be found in Christ.  In this special Hour long sermon we tackle the tough conversation about race & racism in the church.

Everyone has a worldview which determines how we interact with others.  If the church is going to engage our culture for the sake of the gospel, we must develop Jesus’ point of view.   This week we examine this week how we are supposed to present the truth of the gospel in a way that brings God glory.

When believers allow themselves to divide over matters that are not meant to be divisive, the power of the Gospel becomes a distant thought.   Paul approached the Corinthians Church with to urge them to stop acting like children and grow up.   That message is still pertinent today. Take a listen as we discuss what God’s house should look like when we are unified.

God has a way of interrupting our lives, that requires us to respond to who Jesus is.  The choice to follow Jesus comes at a cost, yet it’s the greatest decision you can make with your life.

Jesus leads His disciples to a dark place to impact the lives of men, who were socially ostracized.  This tells us a great deal about Jesus’ heart for the lost and lonely.

Following Christ and discipleship can be used synonymously.  At the root of our decision to follow Christ is the ability to trust God.   This is a learned behavior for any believer.  The more we walk with Him the more we learn to Trust Him.

Jesus finishes His sermon on the Mount and begins to display the power of the Kingdom of God through performing Miracles in others lives.    We immediately see that Jesus’ authority has to combat barriers that we have placed in our lives.

Is there a real story that we all can trust in? Is it true for all people?   Is life a series of stories being made up by humans, to tell one another?  The Bible claims to be true and tell us the story of our world’s history and the purpose of human life.  The problem is that many believers in Jesus have reduced the Bible to a bunch of different stories that don’t all tie in the the greater narrative.   We have to view the Bible as a story which God uses to  reveal himself to us.   This week we celebrate the “Pinnacle” of God’s story –Jesus’ resurrection.

Jesus teaches us that we are all have the potential to build amazing things in our lives.   He also warns us to chose wisely what foundation we decide to build upon –a stable foundation or one that would cause our house to crumble– when the difficulties of life begin.

Jesus wants to enter a relationship with us.   This week we examine what it takes to become known by God.
