Hans Christian Andersen
Known for his many fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen's writing is known for presenting lessons of virtue wrapped up in familiar tales. The creator of such stories as 'Thumbelina', 'The Ugly Duckling' and 'The Princess and the Pea', Andersen's work spanned plays, prose and poetry and have been a well of inspiration for artists ever since.
