What did you think of today's message?

Something universally true, no matter what part of the country we come from, is we’ve all been struck by how ANXIETY has taken hold of our society and people in the churches we serve in epidemic proportions.

What did you think of today's message?

In the book of Philippians, Paul is in prison, yet in his letter, he speaks constantly about joy, rejoicing, contentment - he gives pictures of a life that chooses happiness. Happiness is not situational, but instead attitudinal. The Spirit in you allows you to see beyond your circumstances.

What did you think of today's message?

God is not divided…God is one. You and I are created in the image of God, yet the way we live is fractured - as if we're 2 or 3 or 4. We let people see a piece of us, and someone else see another piece. The way to have meaningful community is to learn to not live fractured but to instead integrated lives with people. It takes us intentionally investing in relationships and taking risks with people to get there though. It takes time and consistency and experiencing good and bad alongside each other.

What did you think of today's message?

One of 5 regrets of the dying is that they didn't say what they actually thought and instead ended up harboring bitterness and resentment. They thought they would bring about peace by remaining silent and instead it created the opposite of peace inside of them.

Expressing yourself isn't about saying whatever you want, whenever you want. It instead always has a bent towards reconciliation. It's about reconciliation with God and reconciliation with each other.

What did you think of today's message?

One of the 5 regrets of the dying is that they wish they would have worked less. Looking at the reasons for Sabbath in the Scripture gives direction to this regret.

There are two reasons given for the Sabbath in the Hebrew Scriptures. The first is so that we'd recognize our limitations and realize we aren't God. The second is so that we would not be defined by what we do and be a slave.

What did you think of today's message?

One of the 5 regrets of the dying is that they weren't true to themselves and spent too much time living for the approval of others.

David couldn't beat Goliath by following expectations. He couldn't wear Saul's armor and do it the way that Saul would have done it…he "wasn't used to it".
