When the Holy Spirit produces longsuffering in us we will patiently put up with other, or difficult, people, we will be slow to act out in anger, and we will persevere in our faithfulness and devotion to Jesus without giving up or giving in no matter what kind of opposition we face.

On the surface, the idea of love being part of the fruit of the Spirit seems pretty easy, after all we all love. We love our spouse, our kids, our friends and of course we all love our pastor. When we focus on love in this way it makes it easy for us to forget the love Jesus calls on us to have is so much more than this.
