On 7th May, Rob continued our 1 Corinthians series, sharing from 1 Corinthians 4:18-5:13, dealing with sin in the church, having hard, difficult conversations. Will you humble yourselves, as the church, the body of Christ?

Mandy continued our 1 Corinthians series on 30th April, sharing from 1 Corinthians 3. Are you building with care? We need to build wisely, and we need to think about our foundation, the foundation that has already been laid, and that is Jesus Christ.

We were blessed to hear from Kath and Phil Henry on Sunday 23rd April. First, Kath gave us a brief update on where they’ve been. Then Phil kicked off our new series, on 1 Corinthians, get the main thing as the main thing… Jesus

On Sunday, Bonnie shared on Joshua 2: Send Out The Spies, as she continued our Joshua series.

Sometimes we feel like God is taking us around the houses again, but we know with God that He is often doing something new!! Sometimes the unknown can feel scary but more often than not Jesus is working in a much bigger way than we ever expected.

Chris gave his last talk on Sunday as he kicked off our new series on Joshua. He shared on Be Strong AND Be Courageous - what a great topic!

On Sunday, we had the joy of hearing stories from those who went on the recent OnCountry trip. 

Bec Gelding continued our Redeeming series, sharing on Redeeming Authority.

Many people have a hard time thinking of power as good. Often our own negative experiences of misplaced authority, or cruel expressions of power, can make us wary and guarded towards people, institutions and authority.

Power at its best is resurrection to full life, to full humanity.

How can we be people who step into the God given power and authority that has been given to humanity as image bearers- in order to bring capacity, life and healing to the world around us? How do we walk the tightrope of living a life of authority and Holy Spirit power each day, without slipping into misplaced authority or power.

Anna shared on Sunday on Redeeming Grace.

Grace teaches us that God loves because of who God is, not because of who we are. Categories of worthiness simply do not apply.

By instinct we feel we must do something in order to be accepted, to earn our place in the world and the love and acceptance of others. This concept of earning is built into every human system- and our relationship to divine love is not exception. We work obsessively to please both other people and God.

Only Christianity dares to make God's love unconditional. There is nothing that we can do to make God love us less.

If we are truly to be God's image in this world- we too, need to learn how to step into God's grace and then reflect it to a world in need.

Bonnie wrapped up our Godly Wisdom series on Sunday, speaking on Wisdom in Temptation. She spoke from Proverbs 5 and reminded us "Everything God does in our lives, EVERY thing, including the discipline, is to bring life, to bring freedom and to bring wholeness" 

Phil Henry continued our Godly wisdom series on Sunday, sharing on Wisdom with money. What is the Lord's wisdom on managing our finances and even more importantly, and how do i not worry or fear over money.  

While Phil didn't give us financial advice, but helped us to try and consider what God says about money and how that can affect creating a "margin" or creating room.
