Lord help me to recognize and fight in Your power the spiritual battle that rages around me today.   Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

God please help me to ask the questions I need to ask about my motives and behaviors to learn how to live today in a way that pleases You.   Ephesians 5:10 And try to learn [in your experience] what is pleasing to the Lord [let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to Him].  

Lord help me diligently pursue unity today by maintaining an attitude of spirit that accepts Your dealings with me as good despite who might be irritating or attacking me at the moment.

Ephesians 4:2-3
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

God please help me to never doubt Your mighty power to accomplish Your incredible work in and through me.   Ephesians 3:20 Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

Lord help me to do things for You today that are way over my head because You have equipped me way beyond my natural abilities.   Ephesians 3:8 When it came to presenting the Message to people who had no background in God's way, I was the least qualified of any of the available Christians. God saw to it that I was equipped, but you can be sure that it had nothing to do with my natural abilities. And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ.

God please reveal to me some of the infinite depths of Your love for me through Your forgiveness.   Ephesians 2:3-5 Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God’s] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind. But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).

Lord God, give me the patience I need to wait on You, filled with fearful awe and confident that You will work in the best time and way remembering You have the power to punish me for my sins but choose to express Your power through forgiveness instead.   Psalms 130:3-5 If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped. I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.

Lord help me to avoid anger and worry when I encounter opposition today. Help me instead to rest in the confidence that You will set things right.   Psalms 37:7-9 Be still. Be patient. Expect the Eternal to arrive and set things right. Don’t get upset when you see the worldly ones rising up the ladder. Don’t be bothered by those who are anchored in wicked ways. So turn from anger. Don’t rage, and don’t worry—these ways frame the doorway to evil. Besides, those who act from evil motives will be cut off from the land; but those who wait, hoping in the Eternal, will enjoy its riches.

Lord please help me to know how and empower me to live today in humility and in reverent and worshipful awe of You   Proverbs 22:4 The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
