Lord please help me experience the immeasurable greatness of Your power so that today my life would be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through me.   Ephesians 1:19-20 I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!

God help me to set an example that inspires others to live in union with Jesus today.   1 Corinthians 4:16-17 So I encourage you, my children, to follow the example that I live before you. That’s why I’ve sent my dear son Timothy, whom I love. He is faithful to the Lord Yahweh and will remind you of how I conduct myself as one who lives in union with Jesus, the Anointed One, and of the teachings that I bring to every church everywhere.

Jesus please save me from inflating myself with self-importance over others because I take credit for Your gifts to me.  Help me instead to respond even to those who attack me with the grace You’ve shown to me.   1 Corinthians 4:6b.-7,12-13 It is futile to move beyond what is written in the Scriptures and be inflated with self-importance by following and promoting one leader in competition with another. For what makes a distinction between you and someone else? And what do you have that grace has not given you? And if you received it as a gift, why do you boast as though there is something special about you? We work hard, toiling with our own hands. When people abuse and insult us, we respond with a blessing, and when severely persecuted, we endure it with patience. When we are slandered incessantly, we always answer gently, ready to reconcile. Even now, in the world’s opinion, we are nothing but filth and the lowest scum.

Lord please give me success as I seek you but save me from developing pride in the success You give   2 Chronicles 26:5,15-16 Uzziah sought God during the days of Zechariah, who taught him to fear God. And as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God gave him success. His fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave him marvelous help, and he became very powerful. But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall.

God help me to help others to walk with Jesus in the unforced rhythms of grace rather than crush them with unbearable religious demands to practice the disciplines through which they receive Your grace.   Matthew 23:4 (NLT) They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.   Matthew 11:29 (MSG) Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.

Lord please help me to be constantly diligent, intently engaged in, and attending constantly to prayer today.   Colossians 4:2 Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving.

Jesus please help me to live wisely among those who do not follow You, speaking graciously and attractively and alert to take every opportunity to draw out and respond to their spiritual inquiries.   Colossians 4:5-6 Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

God please help me to embrace the control of Your Spirit over my decisions and actions rather than the control of my sinful nature.   Romans 8:9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)

God please clear my eyes so I am able to see and take in Your sovereign Glory in everything I encounter today   Luke 11:34-36 The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. When your heart is open the light floods in. When your heart is hard and closed, the light cannot penetrate and darkness takes its place. Open your heart and consider my words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinions for revelation-light! If your spirit burns with light, fully illuminated with no trace of darkness, you will be a shining lamp, reflecting rays of truth by the way you live.”
