Northwest Bible Church

“One another” is a phrase found over 50 times in the New Testament, and each time we come across one, we see how it’s intended for us as believers to live out in relationship… in community… with each other.

We could choose to treat each of these “one another” verses like a suggestion and attempt to go through this life on our own, even priding ourselves over the fact that we don’t really need others. But we’d be wrong.

“One another”—He commanded us in His Word, and He perfectly modeled it for us while Jesus lived here on earth. The simple truth is this…

You weren’t created to do life alone.

Over the years, we’ve relegated the church to become a place we go rather than what God intended His church to be… a Holy Spirit-empowered movement… people… living on mission. As believers, we are the church… the “called-out ones” with the God-given purpose of being the physical representation of Jesus to the world around us.

Scripture tells us we are the church, and God’s message to the church is this: be the Church.

During this series, we’re moving past what the church has culturally become, and we’re going to see what the Bible says the church is at its very core and how we are meant to live in light of that truth.

Welcome to our Christmas Eve Candlelight service! The theme of this year’s Christmas service is “Nothing Else”. Nothing else than the perfect sacrifice. Nothing else than a true Savior. Nothing else than a life of sanctification, conforming to the image of Christ.

We sit in chairs every day. Chances are you’ve got all different types around your house. But what you may not realize is that each and every day, you are choosing to sit in a spiritual chair. There are three different chairs for you to choose from, and the choice is completely up to you. But the thing you’ve got to keep in mind is that your choice will have consequences.

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…” —Joshua 24:15
