Shelby Proie, a marine mammal stranding coordinator with the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, said it’s believed to be the same whale in all three sightings, but the animal has no official tracking device or identifying information so officials can’t be certain. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration was made aware of the whale after its first spotting in Panama City Beach and has been tracking its movements closely, she said.

The origin and exit points for the underpass will be southeast of the 30A/98 intersection in front of Shades at the Loop to the area between the Donut Hole and the entrance to 30Avenue on the north side of 98.

According to a report from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, on March 27 health inspectors found several violations at Pino Gelato Café in Baytowne Wharf. The most serious, according to the report, was roach activity as evidenced by a live roach found underneath a kitchen sink, and rodent activity as evidenced by approximately 30 rodent droppings in the front compressor area and front gelato counter.
