HOST LEDE: A draft water supply forecast predicts that in the future, the Columbia Basin will have less water available in the summer and early fall. [N-W-P-B’s senior environmental correspondent Courtney Flatt explains.]

Much of Central Oregon is under a red flag warning through Wednesday due to extreme wildfire weather.

Election officials around the region are installing new ballot drop boxes ahead of the primary on August 4th. KUOW’s Scott Greenstone has more on why.
