Some Portland City Councilors are beginning to question Mayor Keith Wilson’s plan to address the city’s homelessness crisis. Part of Wilson’s ambitious plan involves paying to send unsheltered people back to live with their families.

Wilson explained this strategy at a council meeting today (TUES). But he was met with skepticism from Councilor Angelita Morillo ((ahn-hell-EE-ta moor-EE-yo)), who previously experienced homelessness.

In May, the Trump administration abruptly terminated funding for two climate resilience programs in Washington state. Now the state attorney general has filed suit, demanding that more than $9-million [M] dollars be reinstated. More from KNKX environment reporter Bellamy Pailthorp.
