From his Dove Award winning gospel albums to his genre-defining Southern rock anthems and his CMA Award-winning country hits, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels. An outspoken patriot, beloved mentor to young artists and still a road warrior at age 76, Charlie has parlayed his passion for music into a multi-platinum career and a platform to support the military, underprivileged children and others in need. Raised among the longleaf pines of North Carolina, Charlie began his career playing bluegrass music with the Misty Mountain Boys

Each year Charlie also hosts The Charlie Daniels Celebrity Golf Classic & Angelus Concert in Hudson, FL, a benefit for The Angelus, a full-time residential facility and day school program for the severely handicapped. Charlie is also a member of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Professional Advisory Board and has been a longtime supporter of the T. J. Martell Foundation and its numerous events aiding cancer research. He’s also the headliner every year for the Christmas 4 Kids concert at the Ryman Auditorium, which raises money to provide a happy holiday for needy children. “I have a very unique opportunity because of being in the music community,” Charlie says of using his celebrity status to aid worthy causes. “You try to give back to some extent. NWP welcome Jason & Shannon aka The Shibaguyz! http://shibaguyz.com

It seems like everyone these days are busy "canning" fruits and veggies but what exactly is "canning"? How hard is it to "can" and is it safe? Today we go step by step as Jason and Shannon share with us the basic techniques of the art of canning.  If they can teach me, they can teach ANYONE!  This should be fun and if not, hey there's always wine!

Shannon & Jason Mullett-Bowlsby, aka the Shibaguyz, who live & work in Seattle with their own pack of Shiba Inu known as the Shibakidz. They “re-learned” canning a decade ago taking the learned knowledge passed down from their grandparents and parents, mixing it with modern scientifically tested data. Known for their mantra “If we can do it, anyone can,” the much sought after instructors have a passion for teaching “Heritage Skills” such as canning, cooking and gardening along with fine fiber skills like crochet, knitting, and spinning for which their patterns are internationally recognized. Look for their new cookbook arriving in stores and check out their popular crochet and knit design books. When artists Beth Whitney and Bradford Loomis began writing together, they had no idea their casual co-writing experiment would blossom into the much anticipated albumTHE BANNER DAYS.  That first night they wrote "My Beloved" in two hours. After a few more writing sessions, it waws clear to both that these songs merited a bold decision.  From the first time they played together, along with Beth's husband/collaborator, Aaron Fishburn, the chemistry has been powerful. The combination of Beth's delicate, pure and melodious voice and Brandfords soulful, growling tone make for a beautifully heart wrenching harmonious blend. http://www.thebannerdays.com http://www.facebook.com/bannerdays

Danny started at the age of ten starring as Danny Partridge on the TV series The Partridge Family. On the show the band’s manager played by Dave Madden supported Danny outside the show. Bonaduce has said that he owes a lot to Madden, who took him into his home during his real life family's domestic problems. At the end of the series, Bonaduce's late teens and twenties saw drug abuse and a period of homelessness. In the late 1980s, Bonaduce had become an on-air radio personality. In the early 1990s David Cassidy signed Bonaduce on as his opening act. Since that time, Bonaduce has continued working regularly as a media personality.

NWP is proud to welcome Lee Greenwood an ICON in country music. Lee tells us where he was on 9/11 and some close calls he has had while entertaining our troops abroad and much more!

His latest CD is: "I Want to be in Your World", Lee wrote three of the seven songs & plays saxophone on the original track, “Here Comes Love There Goes My Heart”. Mega hit “God Bless the USA” went far beyond what Greenwood expected when he wrote it in the back of his tour bus in 1983. The song has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001 and 2003), giving it the distinction of being the only song in any genre of music to achieve that feat. It was also #1 on the pop charts after 9/11/01. “USA is the song I always felt the need to write”. “I wanted to have something that would unite Americans from coast to coast and to instill pride back in the United States. http://www.leegreenwood.com          http://www.facebook.com/northwestprime
