False teachers and trouble makers who promote endless controversies will destroy the church. God expects us to care enough to confront them. The Lord's three-step strategy in Matt 18, along with Paul's instructions to Timothy and Titus gives us clear directives for handling such difficult problems. 5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. It is a tough, unpleasant job but absolutely essential for the health of the church. The emphasis should be on the grace of Jesus. Key verses: 14The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

He had everything - wealth and women - but his life was empty and meaningless without God. When Paul was old he had nothing but his life was full.
