Adolescence - Identity v. Role Confusion. Part 3 of Jeff's sermon series titled Life Stages.
The King will literally return - awesome, glorious, powerful and mighty. The trumpet blast, the shout from heaven, the resurrection of bodies and transformation of believers who are alive at his coming. I will briefly discuss the King's war. A global conquest when all enemies will be put under his feet and confess that he is LORD to the glory of God the Father. Then, his righteous judgment, his gracious reward, and our wonderful reunion. The earth will be purged with fire and King Jesus will make all things new. The whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth for what Jesus called it "the restoration of all things." I will touch on how the new Jerusalem come DOWN from heaven. Heaven and earth become one (it's a new earth, not a "non-earth") and God will dwell with us. Jesus will sit on David's throne and his Kingdom will never end. No tears, no pain, no suffering and no death - eternal joy in the Kingdom of Heaven. I will emphasize the importance of being prepared for the return of King Jesus.
