Why you might ask is Caitlin releasing a bonus episode on a random Monday - Answer because she felt like it. Caitlin explains more in detail of why in the episode for today.

Today's Bonus episode is a Chinese Drama review for the 2019 Cdrama the Longest Day in Chang'An. In Episode 38 Caitlin does the usual format of a drama review from her podcast. In the first part of the episode, Caitlin gives a short synopsis, goes over the cast and then gives her overall general review of the drama. The rest of the episode she states what she loved about the drama and what could have been better.

Once to twice a year, the major web platforms in China holds events to announce their upcoming dramas they plan to release/start to make in the following year and/or for the rest of the year. This event is to gain excitement for these upcoming dramas and to let people what Cdramas to get excited for.

About a week ago, Youku held this event for the Cdramas to be released for the rest of 2024 and new Cdramas to be released/made in 2025. I figured I would start a series where I talk about the Chinese dramas that caught my attention and explain why I am excited for the dramas I list. I plan to do this type of episode any time a web platform holds these types of events during the year because WHO DOESN'T LIKE TALKING ABOUT NEW DRAMAS!

August is complete and We move onto a new month, September. In Episode 35 of the NoSleep4Dramas podcast, Caitlin wraps up August 2024 and gets ready for September 2024 which she hopes is less busy and she gets more time to watch dramas/catch up on dramas she missed. BREAK WITH VARIETY returns for the FINAL REVIEW of the NETFLIX Japanese Reality Dating Show THE BOYFRIEND. It will be interesting to see what Caitlin completes and watches in August 2024. On Episode 30 of the NoSleep4Dramas podcast, Caitlin wraps up July 2024 and gets ready for a busy August 2024. In Episode 29 of the NoSleep4Dramas Podcast, Caitlin discusses her favorite non-Korean dramas she watched in the first half of 2024. This is something Caitlin has done on the blog every year since she started the blog, and this always happens in July. This is the first time that this is a part of the podcast. Caitlin went back and looked at all of the Non-Korean Dramas she completed in the first 6 months of 2024 and picked out her favorites to talk about in this episode. The rules of this list are the dramas are not ranked and are in no particular order except for her favorite one at the top. The drama had to be completed in the first half of 2024 but did not have to premiere/and air in 2024. So, I could have watched an older drama and it could be on this list.
